I am 6 weeks post op. During the pre op diet, I lost 17 pounds. Since then, I feel like (and according to my mom, look like) I have lost inches but gained 3 pounds. I don't understand? I have an appointment today to discuss this terrible port site pain I've gotten the last few days.- Frustrated
Don't weigh yourself! Weight loss can be measured in other ways like inches, how your clothes fit etc. also, you only lose about 1-2 lbs a week. Sometimes you'll gain a pound or trip just because of water retention. Throw the scale in the closet and don't focus on the number.Good luck on your journey and try not to become too frustrated!- Multi-Vitamin help!
What Multi-Vitamin do you guys take? I who'll prefer a m.v. That you only have to take once a day?- Inches vs. Pounds
I was banded 08/29. I have only lost 17 pounds (I last was weighed when I went for my first fill) However, when I look in the mirror, I can SEE that I'm losing inches and my clothes fit better. I just wish I could be losing pounds as fast as I am losing inches- getting my first fill today
Anxious! In general, What should I expect? I know everyone is different- weight gain
I am 3 weeks post op and from when I started my pre op diet until now, I had lost 17 lbs. I weighed myself this morning and I have gained 3. I have followed the doctors instructions and diet very closely :-(- Milk of Magnesia
Is the best thing ever. Literally, wow I was having terrible constipation and now I feel amazing- TMI: bowel moments
So I went to my doctor this past Thursday, he asked me about my bm and I told him. He told me to use Miralax. I was put on a new diet for week two, it's more than just liquids now. NOW I'm super constipated, can't wait until tomorrow. Gonna ask about something stronger- day 4 post op NSV !!
The shoulder pain is from the gas they pump into your stomach to help place the band and the shortness of breath is just getting used to breathing with the pressure of the band- Had my 1 week post op appointment today
I had my surgery on the 29th! You got banded the day I started my pre op surgery. How are you feeling?- Had my 1 week post op appointment today
And I am down 17 lbs! Tomorrow I get to stay eating soft food including: soft eggs, tuna, pasta and CEREAL!! This feeling is absolutely amazing :-)- day 5 post op
And I feel amazing!! But I'm almost worried that I feel so great do soon after surgery. I see that others are still struggling at this point and I feel like there is something wrong with me. Yeah I'm not 100% but I'd say I'm in the 90 percent. Gah - discouraged
