  1. Forgot to mention that someone from Dr. Jessee"s office called me two days in a row after surgery to check on me! That made me feel like they really did care
  2. Dr. Jessee was awesome. Very Professional! I never feel afraid to ask her questions like I have with other doctors in the past! I just had my surgery last Wed. but I have been going to all the appts at her office so I have met her whole team for the most part. I have never had a problem with any of them. Usually you get one person who has an attitude or what not but not there. I had my surgery at the Carillon Outpatient center in St. Petersburg. I went in at 7am. I had my surgery around 9:30. I was getting in the car to go home by noon. It was awesome especially since I planned to be there the entire day. They just had to make sure I could get up and walk and go to the bathroom. Like I said I am not sure about any other doctor. I went with Dr. Jessee right off the bat because I am new to the area and heard wonderful things about her and everything was true!!! 30
  3. I think they just want you to lose a certain amount of weight...they dont really care how you get there
  4. Sounds like the INS company forgot about it or "put it on the back burner" as I like to say....I would call your surgen and have them give the ins company a followup call
  5. I would almost guess that to be true. I never checked any other doctor. I had heard nothing but great things about mine so I went with her right off the top. Now my SIL is going to a dr in Riverview (i think) and she said he does not charge that fee.
  6. I had to pay the $1,000 fee as well...and mine was worded just about the same way yours was
  7. I was banded one week ago and just gave in and ate some mashed potatoes.....
  8. Surgery last Wed and am back at work today for the first time. I did tell them I would return on Sunday though....Still no intimacy yet
  9. Thats probably what it was...I will try again tomorrow. Maybe it was just too soon Thank you!
  10. October 19th. No issues except hunger from the liquid diet!! lol
  11. We knew when we got banded that life goes on for our family. Example...my husband today ate a jimmy johns sandwhich right in front of me...im on a liquid diet and starving and he knows it. Its not his fault though. He still needs to eat. We can only control what we do. If your husband forgets to get you diet soda than from now on you be the one to go get the food. Its tough I know but you can only be responbsible for one person..YOU!
  12. I used the protein shakes for my pre-op diet. I had my surgery last Wed. I drank a protein shake yesterday and that was the only time since the surgery I have been nauseated. Could it be the protein shake?
