    You can do it!! I haven't heard of to many people who haven't had to do the pre op diet. If you think you can - you wil!!!
  2. Anyone remember that song??? My mother in law is here for a total of 9 days. 4 days down, 5 to go. We have not told her about my WLS plans as she is very judgemental... Anyways she is so negative!! My 6 month old is bored playing on the floor with toys even though he is giggling and playing, he is hungry cause I haven't started him on solids yet, he is pooping every time he makes a weird face, the three songs on his jumperoo are driving her nuts... I could go on... Today I made thanksgiving dinner (I am Canadian) My husbands 1st day off work was today so it just worked for us. She "helped" by peeling carrots. I told her 3 times that the garberator is broken and not to put anything down the drain. What does she do??? Stuff everything down the drain and plug it off solid. Now my husband has all the pipes torn apart and he is not a plumber... What a Facking mess!!! But really what do I know, I have only lived in this house for 4 years now... I need to wash bottles and make baby food (we are starting him on sweet potatoes tomorrow) but I can't - there is no running water!! Double Fack!!! My husband does not see it cause she is his mother and can do no wrong... BLAH!! Why are in-laws so freaking crazy?? PS: 49 days till surgery!! WOOT!!!

    From what I hear you should cut out the protien shakes and wat real foods. These will make you feel fuller longer as the shakes are a slider food. Try some oatmeal with protien powder for Breakfast, chicken or tuna salad for lunch. And a high protien dinner??? I also heard it can take up to 3-4 fills to hit that sweet spot!! I hope you have success soon!!!
  6. The forms are easy peasy. There are just a lot of papers to go through. You can do it!!! When is your surgery date???

    This is my biggest fear about getting the band!!! Right now I inhail food cause my little 6 month old requires all my attention at meal times... :/
  9. Hello, My name is Stacey I am 31 years old and have always been over weight. 120 at 12, 180 at 18, 235 at 27, got down to 170 at 29 but now back up to 225 at 31.. I am scheduled to have the lap band procedure done on Nov 30th, 2011 as a self payer. I am "in good health" just over weight, achey, uncomfortable!!! I have always played a ton of sports but cannot get a handle on proper portion sizes. I make healthy food choices, but I eat too much of them... I am hoping that the lap band helps me with my portion size issues!! I am looking forward to this journey!! Thanks for reading!!! :0)

    I hear you.. You can do it. Hopefully tomorrow you will get to your sweet spot!! But starving yourself on a liquid diet like you stated above will not hold long term.

    You need to fuel the body to burn the fat.... I think you are in starvation mode and that is why you gained... Try 900- 1200 calories for a week every day. Your body needs the time to realize that you promise to feed it so it will let go of the fat.. Please do not get upset with what I write. If you feel dissy, faint, worn out you are not getting enough calories..

    I havent been banded yet but I was thinking of maybe combining the two. I have read that a few people on here do it. Check out skinnytaste.com for recipies!!! They have yummy homemade stuff that is high in protien/fibre and has the points listed on each recipe!!

    Texas give the upping calories a week b4 you judge weight gain. If you were eating too little b4 you body needs a week to realize you are doing the right thing. Then you will lose again. Are you feeling less faint??? Less tired???

    What am I doing to myself?!?!

    53 days till my surgery and I am going nuts with food!! Why am I such an idiot?? Like today. I went to the grocery store and bought 4 days of healthy dinner stuff, Chicken, steaks, Turkey breast, veggies, etc. Then I went to the A&W drive through and ordered a Teen Burger... WHY?? I haven't eaten at A&W for over 2 years!! But I felt I needed it cause I prob wont be able to eat it in a month.. BAH!! I feel like crap now cause it wasn't that good, but can someone help me figure out what the eff is my problem??
