What am I doing to myself?!?!

53 days till my surgery and I am going nuts with food!! Why am I such an idiot?? Like today. I went to the grocery store and bought 4 days of healthy dinner stuff, Chicken, steaks, Turkey breast, veggies, etc. Then I went to the A&W drive through and ordered a Teen Burger... WHY?? I haven't eaten at A&W for over 2 years!! But I felt I needed it cause I prob wont be able to eat it in a month.. BAH!!

I feel like crap now cause it wasn't that good, but can someone help me figure out what the eff is my problem??

Don't beat your self up, I am sure you have done enough of that for years. Just because you decided to have the surgery does not mean that your brain is going to get on board. I am almost 1 year post op and still have days that old behaviors creep up on me. This is a process and it takes years to unlearn bad behavors. So forget about today and start fresh again tomorrow, remember we are what we eat. ;-) Soooo, cook the veggies and the lean proteins and learn to enjoy them.

my nutritionist told me about a guy that did a "farewell tour" of all his favorite restaurants - including several goodbye stops at Golden Coral buffet - and gained 30 pounds in the month before surgery.... so just forget about the A&W - tomorrow is a new day. Just don't do a farewell tour and you will be ok!!! LOL

First of all.... Remove IDIOT from your vocabulary!! You are conscience of your relationship with food, give your self credit for working hard, exercising, being a NEW mother! There is nothing wrong with you. Acknowledge it, accept it and once you have done that all you can do is decide better next time.

And these ladies are right.... Tomorrow is a new day!

I agree with the others! Smack yourself on your hand if you have to, but move on. Weight loss is not easy, even with WLS. I am just starting my 6 months (well, will be doing so Nov 1st when my pre-existing condition clause expires). I am looking forward to the journey, but I do have a 'farewell tour' planned.

Good luck with your surgery and your WL. I'm looking forward to reading your blog!

Hi I'm new to this site, in fact I'm new to the band...going to get my surgery Tues, Oct 11, and nervous as can be...

and all I have been doing is eating..it was so reassuring to read your blog and the responses. I was thinking that I'm

doing this all wrong. Having an eating problem for years now I decided to make my body tell my mind what to do and I spent

the last month saying "good bye" to all my junk foods.... So thank you again I finally feel "normal"
