I'm even amazed at the difference. I didn't think I was that heavy.

Hey, I just saw this. Sorry, I don't visit much. It's a good topic, so I hope this thread can be helpful and if I can help with anything I'll be glad to. 4 year sleeve veteran here that lifts a lot.

aroundhky got a reaction from Josey Quinn in You know you lost weight when
When a few months after the sleeve, a typical spring gust that used to end and dissipate when it made contact with my body, now nearly blows me of my feet and pushes me around. When this happened a few months after my sleeve, I think it was the first time the wind physically moved me since I was a teenager.

@@aroundhky Great post!
And you seemed to have conquered the attack of loose skin. Did you simply become a gym rat after surgery, work out with a personal trainer, or are you just very diligent with a personalized program? Also, do you concentrate on MACROS at all?
I have a fear of having loose skin after my upcoming surgery and its mostly because I have really bad arthritis after two knee surgeries and two degenerative discs. While I'm hoping the anticipated weight loss will give great relief on the joints, the discs limit my activity with weight training. Any suggestions?

I read Mark Manson's blog a lot, ran across this one he just posted and it made me think of posts I've read here and of myself as well. So I felt I should share this as it may help some of us deal with a few of the obstacles that come with post-op bariatric surgery.

aroundhky got a reaction from KnicksFan in Training for STRENGTH without going to the gym-OPTIONS?
You can absolutely do resistance training without going to a gym and with a few simple implements like a pull up bar, resistance bands and a kettle bell or two, you can get strong and build lots of muscle without setting foot in a weight room. My gym is close to my work which is almost an hour from my house, so on weekends at home I'll often do wall squats, push ups, pull ups, planks , etc and still get a heckuva workout.
