  1. I did try to eat cream of chicken soup last night with a couple of crackers in it and I could keep even two bits down. I am just supposed to be on liquids for 24 hours but was thinking the soup was a liquid. May the barium swallow was not correct and I do have restriction? I just want to scream because I feel like I can't even do lapband right.
  2. I had lapband Sept 30th and on Oct 2 had to have a revision because I could not even keep water down. Doctor had to put a larger band in because he said even empty the first one was just to tight (really sucks because I am self pay). I had two fill before yesterday and when I went in yesterday before he did another fill he had me do a swallow xray, sorry cant spell the correct name for it. He has me do one after each fill anyway and said I had NO restriction. Well I could have told him that lol. Any way he gave me a full cc and another swallow test and again no restriction so he gave me another full cc and still no restriction. You could tell he was puzzled but said he wouldn’t give me another one for a couple of week because he didn't want it to be to tight. Why after 3.5 cc would I not have any restriction? After my 2nd fill I could tell a little difference for a couple of weeks but didn't last long. I am wondering if he should have left the smaller band in but after only 4 days of that I was so dehydrated I could not go on like that. I guess we will see how this goes but I am out over 40k (have not paid all of that yet and don't know if I ever will be able to) and getting VERY discouraged.
  3. Wondering if you are better after your 2nd fill? I was banded Oct 2 and I feel your pain! My second fill help a very little bit but I get my nest one on 02/02. I know it will do the trick. I also have started doing low carb. I know I can't do that long term but I need the scale to move. Anyway Good luck!!
  4. I need to read #7 every day. Somedays more than once!
  5. So Glad I am not the only one! Wish I could eat two chicken nuggets and be full the rest of the time. Oh well maybe after my next fill.
  6. I started it in November and really it.December has been so busy and I was sick so starting over January 1st. I do suggest walking on days your are not doing the program. Luck to everyone!
  7. I am still very new at this and by no means am I loosing as quick as I would like. However I do believe that the band will work if you find out what works best for you! Of all the research I did all of it said the band was a tool not magic. I am learning that meat (grilled, broiled, baked) fills me way faster and way longer than casseroles. I know that mashed potatoes should not be put into my mouth very often unless I want to keep fat belly fat. I think its going to be kind of a learning game. It’s a slower weight loss but a long term weight loss, not a fast off, and faster back on diet that most of us have done lots of times before.
  8. Reading this I am just glad to see you are not deiting. I am still a new at this and I have only had one fill and not loosing like I would like and I keep thinking I need to also go on a diet. But then I think why did I get banded? I get another fill tomorrow so I hope that will help. I can't wait until I am as close as you are to my goal! I love the hollidays but wish all the food did not have to go with it! Good luck.
  9. Good, I need this! Thanks.
  10. Yes I did it! Taking the day off and then hoping there will be a December Challenge.
  11. Almost there! I have 5 miles to go and 4 days to do it YES! Gonna see how much over 60 I can do. Did not want to walk today but I did 4 miles and now feel much better. Good luck everyone.
  12. Started the couch to 5k today......Wow thats a butt kicker! Getting closer to my 60 mile goal for the month. I have to make this goal!
  13. I had my first fill yesterday and it did not hurt at all. I have only had liquids but about to eat a small dinner and we will see If there is any restriction. Hoping so because my weight loss has all but stopped.
  14. Okay so went to Walmart and bought the Leslie Sansone 5 Big mile walk with the toning band. Lots of you have great things to say about it and its sometimes hard to find time to walk outside when its still light. Plan on using it the next time I cant make it out or when I can only workout in the AM. I think for me the hardest thing about working out is finding the time to take for yourself! Did not walk yesterday but I WILL walk today.
  15. Okay so I hate the treadmill! I have been trying to walk outside 4 miles each day (did not do one mile this weekend). But yesterday it was very stormy and wet in Texas so I went up to the school and walked on the treadmill. Even though it took about the same amount of time it seemed like it took so much longer and my shins were killing me. Also my legs cramped all night and my rear hurt lol. Is the treadmill harder than walking outside? It usually takes me about 50 minutes to walk 4 miles and thats right at what it took me on the treadmill so I was walking about the same pace with no incline. Oh well it should be a nice afternoon to walk outdoors today and I even have a friend to join me!
  16. My feet hurt, my knees hurt but I walked 4 miles today!! Dont think I have ever walked 4 miles at once! I took me over an hour but I think I will do this again tomorrow! On my way to a smaller and healthier me.
  17. My doctor said that he would not do a fill until 6 weeks post op. I was banded on 9/29 but then had to have a revision on 10/4 because the empty band was to tight. I am not sure if he wants to wait 6 weeks because of the previous problems or if that is just standard procedure? I am pretty much able to eat what ever I want just in a litle smaller portions. I do feel like I get hungry before I should and plan on talking to him about this when I go in. Not sure when you doctor said to start solid food but remember to eat more protein than anything else as this fills you up faster and keeps you full longer.
  18. Okay this will be my first time for this. Can't wait! Do most of you walk daily or so many times a week? Don't know if I can do daily so I am going to try at least 4 miles 4 times a week. We will see what works best for me I guess.
  19. Very nice to know. I will try and use mine. I have two children and thought I would just order a full meal and share with them but they NEVER want what I want.
  20. I just got banded less than 24 hours ago and can't even drink water with out it hurting. Guess this is normal but jezz it sucks! Hoping to feel better soon.
  21. Okay so day three of the liquid diet and its getting a little better but I have had a headace all day. Stress is also better. I just keep telling myself I am worth it. I am!
  22. I am having lap band in 8 days! I am so exicted. I have read and read and read all the things to do and don't do. I have practiced chewing and taking small bites and even have pretty much stoped drinking at meal time. I know I can do this but today I woke up and have pretty much been in panic mode. I have cried twice and I am not a cry baby. What is wrong with me? I think I am scared that all the money (all out of pocket) will be wasted because I will fail this as I have every other time I have tried to loose weight. I need to pull it together! Also not a big fan of the liver reduction diet.
  23. Looks like alot of us will be banded on the 29th myself included! I am very exicted and way more nervous than I had expected. Not so much loving the liver diet but just looking at it as first step to new beginnings. Good luck to all!
