  1. Congratulations on your surgery. Take care of yourself and you will back up to snuff in no time. Walk and sip! Best wishes and welcome to the journey!
  2. I had a small 2 cc fill at the time of surgery and that was enough. Each doctor is different in what they find works with their patients.
  3. I would agree that your blood pressure and high BMI should make you eligible for insurance payment. Either way, the journey is worth it! I wish you every success with the program you choose.
  4. Once the process starts you are on your way to a healthier you! Congratulations!
  5. You are in charge of you! Congratulations on seeing it through! Keep up the good work!
  6. Your PCP and you surgeon would be the best to advise you. I chose LB because I wanted to avoid more intrusive surgery. Each of us is different and need to decide what is best along with our doctors and other support systems.
  7. Wishing you great success. Learn all you can and keep on keeping on. It is a lifestyle change for sure, but one I have never regretted.
  8. Fills are not that bad. It is just an unknown and far less serious than the surgery. You will be fine. Just remember liquids only for 24 hours after the fill. Best wishes!
  9. Good luck to you. Just make sure you follow doctor's order and you will do great! Who you share with is your choice!
  10. Call your doctor to be sure. I think unless you have had a fill or a stuck which is unlikely at 7 days, you are just healing, but I am NOT a doctor, so call if you have any doubts. That's why he gets paid the big bucks!
  11. Wishing you both well!
  12. And you are looking fab too! Congratulations on your success. Keep it up!
  13. Pick a surgeon and attend their seminars. Learn all you can before the surgery.
  14. I agree with Guy, back to the basics. Measure or weight portions and get back to regular exercise.
  15. I too use regular mayo and focus on limiting carbs. It is what works for me.
  16. My calcium has D3 included. D3 is needed to help the body absorb calcium.
  17. Sounds good, I will try it.
  18. I have no clue, if it works go for it!
  19. I have had them... I love it!
  20. Keep up the good work! One day at a time!
  21. Congratulations and best wishes to you. Come back after surgery and let us know how things are going. Meanwhile, learn all you can to prepare yourself for surgery and post op. You will be glad you did!
  22. Do what you need to do for your health. All else will follow.
  23. Your port will not bend, but it is normal to feel it.
  24. There will be no problem on the plane, as it is pressurized. You may decide to take some Protein powders along as they may be hard to find. There is always lowfat milk to mix them with. Just don't go crazy and eat things you know you should not. Italy is Pasta land, so if you have not tried it before, I would not try it there. Just remember to chew, chew, chew and keep your fluids up. Stick with the diet your doctor and nutritionist gave you and take it slow. You may find that you still get tired easily so be good to yourself! Nashua Nutrition sells single serving sample packs of protein powders that are great for traveling. Have a fabulous trip!
  25. Been there, done that. You need to plan ahead what you will have for a snack and stick to the plan.
