Things You Can Never Have Again With Sleeve :(
I am a little over 10 months post op. In that time I have MAYBE taken the equivalent of 1/2 cup of diet soda. My favorite soda was mountain dew- but the diet version is gross so I just don't bother with it. I do drink a medium light ice coffee with equal almost everyday from Dunkin Donuts. It's my guilty pleasure of the day and helps keep me regular in other ways.

Looking For New Ideas...
Sometimes I make shrimp and mix it with some of the steam in bag asian veggies. Closest thing to Chinese food I had until about 6 months out. I also like to marinate shrimp in different flavors and just eat them that way. I love salmon in a brown sugar/soy sauce marinade, or with avocado crushed up and salted on top. Flatout pizzas are good and I love ANY kind of cheese these days. Sometimes I still have a hard time with chicken and scrambled eggs- but then I end up eating less which makes me feel a bit better. At 8 months out I'm able to eat considerably more than I could when I was fresh.

How About An Nsv List For The Post-Op's?!
I love crossing my legs and weighing less than my boyfriend! I also love NOT shopping in plus size exclusive stores.. And just shopping in general- especially thrift stores cuz I am now able to find stuff! I also love knowing that I'm not done. I've lost 115 pounds about and would still like to lose about another 50 but I only have 36 pounds to go to hit my original goal of 160.

Frozen Banana "ice Cream"
I'm going to pipe up here. My nutritionist WANTS me eating fruit! Until 3 months post op I could barely get out of bed and literally had to crawl there sometimes at night I was so exhausted. Spoke to my nutritionist at a 3 month follow up, told her what was going on and she said FRUIT! Now I eat 2 servings of fruit a day (a total of 1 cup of fruit) and I feel better. I notice if I got a few days without eating fruit I start to get sluggish again. Fruit is not a bad thing and this recipe is delicious as I'ce tried it several times.

Insurance Gurus...please Help
I got my surgery approved by Aetna 1, 2, 3. It was approved within 3 or 4 days of the paperwork going in. I did the 3 month program with them that was super easy and much of what you have already done will probably count towards it. I'd be happy to answer any questions about Aetna.

Protein How Do You Get It In
My first two weeks post op I was making a shake of two scoops and 9 oz of milk. That would be split into three meals a of 3oz each. If you are REALLY struggling, that is a an easy way to get in protein without having to drink ALL that much of a shake... Then when you count what protein you do get from food you may be right around where you need to be. I will still sometimes make a shake up that way and have a shot or two a day of it to just boost up my protein a bit for that day. It keeps in the fridge for a few days if you need it to.

100 Lb Reward?
I've done every 25 pounds for something really nice like a makeover at MAC or Clinique. But every 10 pounds I try to do something a little special too like a new bottle of nail polish (I purchase the gel polishes so they are $15-$20 a pop). I'm quickly approaching 100 pounds lost and wondering the same thing. I really think I'm going to splurge for a full body massage. I find as I've lost weight and my body is re-adjusting itself to its new shape I have some aches and pains and figure it would be a nice way to relieve stress!

Baby Food
Personally, I thought the baby food was gross. There was only one flavor I could stand, I think it was chicken tetrazini. The fruits are okay (I actually buy the bananas as a snack and have done this for my entire life!). During your soft stage I really say greek yogurt is the way to go. You can add sugar free puddings to it to give it a nice flavor. I don't do the flavored greek yogurts because they are lower in protein and way higher in sugar. Good luck!

Pregnancy Vs Wls? Please Help.
I'd go for the baby first. I'm 27 and if I was with someone to have a child with and had to decide between baby and surgery, I'D HAVE GONE WITH BABY!! Now, my mother was an overweight woman when she conceived my sister and I. During both pregnancies she ate healthy (and dealt with morning sickness the whole pregnancy) she left the hospital weighing less then when she got pregnant. She lost 50 pounds with my pregnancy and 90 with my sisters. She didn't keep it off obviously but hey- ya never know!

Water=Foam? Suggestions Wanted For Tolerating Water...
I'm 5 months post op and still can't handle plain water all that well. I drink a lot of Propel.. A LOT of propel! Black Cherry is my favorite. And the easiest/laziest strawberry lemonade ever can be made by dropping a few sliced strawberries into the lemon flavor.

How Far Out Were You Able To Have A Bite Of Your Faves
My first post op meal was a crab leg with a tiny squirt of I Can't Believe It's Not Butter. I could barely eat one whole leg (granted it was a claw leg). Crab legs are VERY soft so I would think that as soon as you are put on soft foods you can enjoy them!
