I hope you start to feel better soon. Maybe check what Shine1075 said about Dexilant with your doc and see if he will prescibe the medicine for you. I know that in the early stages my nexium worked for so many hours and then bam I would wake up in the early morning (couple of hours before I should get up) and it would bug me. As time went on the acid subsided and I have been able to get through till the next day. Hope you find a solution soon.

I just checked with the different airlines to see what they had going to San Diego. There is Expedia.com, Travelocity.com, Cheaptickets.com, hotwire.com, orbitz.com. Check them all out and see who can get you the best price.

I was not surprised at anything with my Mexico experience. All the posts on here gave me the information about what I was going to experience and what to do. I was also informed very well from the doctors side so nothing I would need to have known before this surgery. I may have thought to ask for a video or a picture of the stomach. Just to see how tiny it really is. Other than that I can look at my barium swallow xray any time to get an idea. Nothing that I regret not asking about.

so far I have not had any issues with food or water. I only add a new food once every couple of days to give my body a chance to let me know if it does not want it. My tummy makes some noises but I mostly hear the noises early in the morning before I put food in. Rarely is it after I eat. But it does do it sometimes. It is interesting how everyone has a similar yet different experience with the sleeve.

As soon as I was on regular food I had chicken. I did not have any problems with it. I chewed it well and took my time eating it. Maybe check with your doc or nut for your eating plan.

You will feel more of the "full" when you are on more dense food. The mushy stage I never felt full, but I stuck to the recommended portion sizes as I know that our nerves have been cut on our tummy and therefore will not have these "full" feelings for awhile. I am almost 2 months out and I definitly know when to stop when I eat more dense food. Like ground beef. The feeling is hard to explain I just know it means no more food please. Stick to the recommended sizes as you do not harm your healing staple line.

The ones that love you can also be the ones that hurt you the most. Stick to your guns and do what is best for you. In two years time when you are still maintaining do not say anything to your mother as she will know that you are succeeding. My mom is having a hard time with me having this surgery. She has felt safe in her obesity because she was still smaller than me. Now she is scared that I will be a lot smaller than her in no time. She has tried several times to sabatoge me (making my favourite cookies) making my pre-surgery favourite foods and while eating it is making all these noises of how she is enjoying eating every morsel and then offering me some. I just ignore the behaviour as I have the restraint to not eat those foods. And with me saying no thank you it burns her butt. I am doing this for my health and not to keep my mother happy that at least someone was still heavier than her. She will have to fight her own demons.

Have you tried the sample packs from syntrax nectar products? This way you can try out different proteins to see if you like them for a small price. Then if you like a specific one you can order a larger tub.

I went from an oily complexion to a dry one on my face. I now have to scrub my face and put cream on every day.

You could also get the liquid calcium citrate with Vitamin D at costco and its really good (at least I think so). Everyone seems to be deficient in the vit D. Here is a link to what kind I get at costco. Costco - Wellesse Liquid Calcium I just noticed the kind you found was one 16 oz bottle for 8$ and the costco one is 33.8oz per bottle and the price is 16$ for a two pack. Much cheaper at Costco. I think you have to order it online in the US. Here in Canada they sell it at the warehouse. Hope you find what you are looking for.

I had to post pone my surgery 6 months because the only day available to me I could not find a flight out early enough that did not conflict with my work. So 6 months later when my next vacation was approved for is when I booked. Sometimes I wonder how much weight I would have lost if I could have found the right flight and had my surgery in August instead of February. The 19 days will fly by and you enjoy that ohh soo buttery popcorn in the mean time. I am salivating thinking about it. I will have some someday just not for awhile.

You are with your boyfriend and you just happen to be within earshot of this douche bag. Say to your boyfriend in the language he spoke something really insulting bout the guy. Then walk away. But make sure you say so that he knows that you are talking about him. This way you do not have to remind him of the incident those many years ago. AND you can have some satisfaction that you got an insult back at him.

Dr Aceves does 3 leak tests. One in surgery, the blue apple juice the day after and the barium swallow on the third day. I went and saw my doc back here in Canada and said Dr. Aceves asks for a 3 month barium swallow and specific blood tests to be done. She said book an appt with me during month two and I will set up the tests for your third month. I really found two wonderful doctors to take care of me.

I heard some people are doing the 5 day pouch test to jump start their loss and remove the carb demon.

ahhh I hate to hear of the hoops insurance puts people through! Did you discuss the information insurance sent to you with your doctor? I hope you can get this worked out and will be back on the road to getting your sleeve soon.
