Healthy Glow

Ever since I got my VSG on 03/18/2011, I have received so many compliments on my skin and complexion (especially my face).. My cheeks have been rosy and my face just acquired a radiant healthy glow ever since about 2 days post op! Has anyone else experience healthier clearer looking skin and complexion since having VSG done? I wonder why this is???? Whatever the reason, I'm not complaining. I don't need as much make up anymore and with summer approaching that is a plus!

I wish...I still have breakouts, seborrheic dermatitis, etc.

Same for me, don't need to use that much makeup and people also comment on my glowing complexion! Maybe our complexion reflects how we are feeling?

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh I did for a couple of months then the crazy hormone flux really took over and some months I looked like a pubescent teenager. It was unpleasant to have huge acne, pimples and these things that were so big, I'd say they qualified for their own damn zip codes. Now, I have nice skin again, but the pregnancy hormones are kicking in so I'm thinking it's going to be short-lived glow again.

I wonder if it has something to do with the dietary changes? No caffeine, no carbonation, low/no sugar and mostly healthy foods. I know that when I did a Daniel Fast with the church last year which required natural, all-organic and no sugar or processed foods for 21 days my skin was gorgeous then, too. Hmmm.... whatever it is, I'll take it! :)
