  1. I let mine dangle and I am a huge baby when it comes to pain. It did not hurt to shower.
  2. Yes, over eating or drinking can stretch your stomach out. Think of it as a balloon that you continue to blow up, let the air out, blow up again, eventually the balloon is bigger, that is the same concept of a stomach.
  3. I also took them after a meal. I had a long commute to work and just riding in my car or husband's truck would cause the gas to go crazy.
  4. everyone stalls, trust me. Your body has just realized what you are doing and is trying to hold on to some weight. The stalls do not last too long and they happen about every 3 weeks. Just keep eating right and exercising and it will start to come off again. I am coming off a 7 day stall, but finally don't let myself get too worked up.
  5. It is his loss, do not give up your power. Look have amazingly far you have come...YOU DID THAT. I agree you should see someone because food is a crazy addiction, and it is legal, and all around us. Today get up put both feet on the ground and start to run again, for yourself.
  6. How long ago was your surgery? This can go on for up to a month after. It is the gases being released. I had the same thing and thought it would never go away, but trust me it does. Try Gas-X it lessens the gas, but does not completely take away the pain. Good luck.
  7. and not the good kind like in 50 Shades of Gray
  8. I only waited a week. Just take it slow and no swinging from the rafters:-)
  9. we all learn the valuable lesson when it hurts. Don't beat yourself up. That small amount you ate will not hurt your sleeve. Just think to yourself, lesson learned. Keep up the good work.
  10. I did self pay. I went to Mexico. I still have about 10 to 15 more to go. It was just coming off so quickly in the beginning.
  11. You will get there! Around week 4 something changes and you start to feel like to old you, but skinnier.
  12. Thanks Dooter, I am back in the saddle. Going to the gym tonight and just going to plug away at it one pound at a time.
  13. While I love that I am down 27 pounds and I know there are stalls, I still want to feel sorry for myself today. In the beginning I was losing a pound a day and getting on the scale was a joy. Now that I am closer to my goal weight, I am only losing 1-2 pounds per week. I hate the cycle of working out, then that making me more hunrgy than I would if I had not worked out. Ugh, just feeling sad today.
  14. Feeling full is a strange feeling at the bottom of your throat. When you eat give yourself time between bites because if you pass the full mark and over eat, it sucks:-)
  15. I chewed cookies and spit them out. You are very normal:-)
  16. Janet53...no frown that is 8 pounds you lost! Be proud. Trust us on this site, it will start coming off.
  17. I had a pretty low BMI, I lost 22 pounds in the first month.
  18. I also went to Mexico and had no difficulties. It was 4,500
  19. You will be very tired, so if you children are super young and require continual supervision I would say you need help at least for a week. You will be tired until about the 4th week.
  20. Learning to get over head hungry was difficult. It took me about a month and I still have little slips where I think oh I can have just a little of that. The best thing to help me keep it in control it how much of a risk and challenge I took to have the surgery. It was a major decision and expense, so don't screw it up over a burger.
  21. I believe one of the reasons to drink slowly and smaller amounts is to learn to know when you feel full. You don't want to fill up on water and not get the proper amounts of nutrition.
  22. I own P90X and was able to do some of it when I was chunky. It does kick you butt, however you see result pretty darn quickly. You will feel sore all the time which is a bummer. Good luck.
  23. The Unjury chicken soup is really good. They also sell an non flavored protein that you can add to your water.
  24. Right on! Keep up the good work.
  25. I swear I could have written your post! I feel the same way worrying I have already stretched things out and I do not eat 1/4 a cup yet. I can't wait to see what people post. I am in hopes of an answer to your question.
