  1. I so know what you are feeling right now. I just got back from a week of vacation and did gain 3 pounds. Today however I got back into the gym and started eating right again. I enjoyed my vacation:-) Don't beat yourself up and enjoy.
  2. This is amazing, you should be shouting from the tops of the roof! Do you mind if I ask if you have issues with extra skin?
  3. I started at 182, then did preop diet got to 172, and now 6 month since surgery I am 125.
  4. thanks for the good laugh:-) I will just get back on the freaking wagon, geez I hate the wagon;-)
  5. Futureskinnyperson, I have also heard soda will stretch your sleeve. That is one thing I have not even attempted since the sleeve. So I guess my head does not win all the arguments:-)
  6. I am down to a fantastic size 4. I have lost 47 pounds
  7. Holy crap first vacation after being sleeved 6 months ago. As you can tell from the title of this post, it was a little more challenging that I thought it would be. I gained 4 pounds, ate so much I am worried I stretched my sleeve. New Orleans had so many delicious foods and I had terrible will power. I was shocked, I thought my little tool would win but instead my freaking head did. Now it is going to take me a few weeks to undue what I did in 5 freaking days. Lesson learned, a "little bit" still can not be controled so it is best to just stay away from it.
  8. Very sorry to hear about your parents. I really hope you are in grief therapy. Start by taking baby steps back. Set small realistic goals for yourslef. Number one could be stopping the soda. We have all heard how the carbination treats your stomach like a balloon that you blow up, let the air out, blow up, let the air out. Eventually the balloon does not go back to its size. Please remember your parents would not want this state of uncomfotableness for you, why would you want less for yourself?
  9. very common, do a search on this site for stalls. We all wwent through it and trust me when I say the weight loss will start up again.
  10. I am almost 6 months out and I did salmon, tilapia, shrimp, and scallops when I was in about my 3rd week. It was only about 1.5 ounces at a time but my stomach was able to tolerate it very well.
  11. Eat healthy and exercise and your weight will maintain. Remember the exercise is super important so you are not eating away your muscle. Keep up the good work!
  12. Awesome and don't spend too much on your jeans because you will not be in them long!
  13. Discuss sleep issues and heartburn, those issues get you bumped to the front of the line:-)
  14. Thank you Nate. I am preparing for my first 5K.
  15. Just ran 2 miles, came home and did 5 pull ups. Now I know 5 pull ups does not sound like much, but let me tell you 4 months ago I could not even do 1. I love the sleeve and what it has given me....an active life. Down 46 pounds. Best compliment ever was when my daughter said she wanted arms like mine!
  16. How long ago was your sleeve?
  17. A trip to Mexico will solve that problem! I too had a lower BMI, so off the Mexico I went and LOVE my sleeve. I had to self pay, but it is the BEST 4500 I have ever spent.
  18. Colored mine about 2 weeks after surgery and every 6 weeks since with no troubles. Cover that grey and enjoy the new skinny you!
  19. I did mine in Mexico without anyone:-) I was worried about them taking a kidney while I was under and I would not know it. I was totally fine and had no problems.
  20. I just posted about how mine is growing back. I takr 5000mcg Biotin, zinc, use Nioxon sgampoo and conditioner. It really has made a difference for me and a few of my friends with sleeves
  21. Right about 3 months:-( I have 3 friends that had surgery around the same time and theirs is falling out also.
  22. I take 5000mcg of Biotin, the soft gels. 30mg of Zinc, and use Nioxen shampoo and conditioner. The zinc has really slowed down the hair loss. I was getting scared there for awhile, but all is good now.
  23. Thank you sweet Jesus, my hair is finally starting to grow back! I still have some falling out but not nearly as much as before. I was sleeved on April 16th, 2012 and there for awhile I was sure I was going to go bald. I am not sure if the growth is from my daily ritual or just due to time, but either way YIPPEE!
  24. Same thing happened to my friend. Our doctor told her it is basically a tiny pocket behind the incision area. Hers drained for about a week, then totally cleared up. I had surgery the same day, however did not have that issue.
  25. Awesosme achievement! Way to go. I hope to do one soon
