Milestones And Sadness
You are losing hair because your body is using the nutrients you get to run your heart, liver and other major organs. The hair folicals get the "shaft" hee hee. All kidding aside, there are some things you can do. Nioxon is a shampoo and conditioner that stimulates the folicals to promote new growth. There is also a vitamin called Bioten and you can take 5000mg, they are soft gel tabs easy to swallow.

Eating At Night
Just be careful not to eat then go to bed right away because you could get reflux, other than that I eat when I am hungry:-)

Protein Shakes - Help!
just be careful with the amount of calories and sugars in some of the shakes that taste great. The Rockin Refuel taste awesome but are over 300 calories. I really like the Unjury and they are made for weight loss people like us. I do the chocolate and strawberry. I have heard there is a protein pill but you have to take so many.

Rant Post-Op Issues
I had a friend who was having the same issues. Her doctor told her to try and eat something before bed, even if it is water. What is happening is your stomach is actually too empty and it is having contractions when you do attempt to put something in it. Do the shakes, wait about 1/2 hour then try some cottage cheese. It does get better and I am sorry your doctor is being an ass. You just need to get firm and say listen I am paying you (or your insurance either way your money) and you need to listen to me. The depression is normal also, however since you were already having a struggle with it, I suggest going to see a counselor.

Stall....
The stall is totally normal even though very annoying. Your body is trying to compensate for the shock it just went through. Remember stuff is really happening on the inside even if you don't see it on the scale. Inches are being lost and you will be amazed to see your arms and legs get slimmer. Hang in there and don't let the scale rule you...changes are happening

Liza L you are going to find so many things you can do as the weight come off! Your only regret will be not having the surgery sooner

Pain Question
Of course always call you doctor, but yes it is normal. You will start to feel like your old self about 4 weeks out. That's about when the tiredness goes away, and you realize your side did not hurt, your knees feel better. It is a wonderful thing.

Drinking
I have had a few drinks since my surgery 3 months ago, but really just take a few sips out of it. The desire to put bad things in my body has gone away knowing I have put my life on the line for this surgery. I replace eating crap with eating well and working out. And trust me, I was NEVER a person who was able to obtain the "gym high" and I am proud to say if I miss a day during the week I can feel it. Long story short, try the drink just in moderation.

Fear Of Weightloss
You WILL lose with the sleeve! I was fearful of the same thing and my doctor said everyone loses because you simply cannot eat like before. He was correct! Now remember it is just a tool and you can gain it back slowly but not to what you started. You can do it and you will love it.

Once Again I Need Advice
That's a stall but do not let it get you down. You are losing inches even if the scale does not move. To do a little jump start go back to your liquid diet for 72 hours.

Jumping On The Vsg Train
You will be so happy with your decision. I have been sleeved for 2 months now and LOVE it. I have more energy to do the things I want to do. Of course that took a month, the first few weeks I was so tired. It is a lot of work so don't think it will be an easy ride, however very worth it. I am so excited for you!!

My Hubby Doesn't Support Me Spending $15K For Surgery
Get it done in Mexico. I had mine there, paid 4500 bucks and LOVE my sleeve. I was a little nervous since I do not speak Spanish, but all went well and I did not have any problems.

Bowel Movements?

Drainage Bag
Only 2 1/2 days, then they pull it out

Drainage Bag
Some people don't have a drain bag. A friend of mine had the sleeve after me and she did not have one. Long story short, it is a small suction bulb that removes the blood/drainage after the sleeve surgery.
