  1. Thank you for clearing that up for me I have seen it several times thoughout the Forums and just couldn't figure it out
  2. Congrats on the story! When I get a compliment on my looks, I feel like it's a pity compliment or like what they really want to say is, you're really pretty for a fat girl. It will be interesting to see if my thoughts change after my surgery. I feel really stupid but can someone tell me what NSV stands for?
  3. Also, be sure to visit the "September Sleeve Roster" Topic. We have an ongoing list of all our September Sleevers
  4. Welcome to our group Ducker. You will find some wonderful friends here. Any questions you have, feel free to post, the people here are so great about replying. I think I'm addicted, I have a hard time staying away for more than a few hours. Where are you having your surgery?
  5. How long does the gas last? I'm concerned about having so much gas when I return to work. I often have a lot of gas on a daily basis so I'm not looking forward to the increase. I don't notice a difference when I take Gas X but maybe it will after surgery.
  6. Sept. 10th, Dr. Almanza It seems so far away but I know it will be here before I know it. I haven't found anyone on here that will be there the same time as me. I seem to miss a lot of people by one day, either before or after. I'm hoping as it gets closer that may change. Being apart of this Forum has been such a blessing. Everyone on here is so nice and helpful!
  7. I love this topic! Can't wait til I can contribute.
  8. Oh wow, Congrats! I can't wait. Come on Sept. 10th! I'm so happy for you! I would pass on the fish fry, you don't want the celebration to be short lived. How about a fish bake
  9. You are funny! I wish we were going to be there together, but I fly back home on the 13th
  10. HDub, I hope all is going well for you. How are you doing? Yes, a supplement schedule would be wonderful. I'm getting very confused about timing of all these things. I am going to make an appointment with a nutritionist to make sure I am doing all this right. I had my thyroid removed many years ago. Currently my levels are fine but they tend to fluxuate a bit from time to time. Also, I recently became low on Iron so Doc put me on an Iron supplement. I just started taking it this week. He didn't tell me to not take it with my synthroid, but I know I have to take synthroid on empty stomach and the Iron works better with a meal. I bought one of those big pill organizers that is for each day of the week and it has compartments for morning, noon, evening and bedtime, but what about with food, or without? Uhg!
  11. I work in Columbus so we really aren't that far apart. I will do my best to post my experience. I really wish we were going at the same time, we could have even been on the same flights. Shoppingbee isn't too far from us either, we will have to plan a get together after we all heal a bit, we can form our own little support group
  12. What part of Ohio are you from? I live in Circleville, OH. I get my sleeve with Almanza on the 10th. Too bad we aren't going at the same time.
  13. I hear ya, I can't find anyone that will be there at all on any of the few days I am there I was surprised that they scheduled me on a Saturday. Maybe it wont be as crowded, idk.
  14. Thank You! I'm glad your son is going with you. That will be a very special and memorable trip for the two of you.
  15. There is an ongoing list of September Sleevers here: http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/topic/22358-september-sleeve-roster/page__p__188633__fromsearch__1#entry188633 I cant seem to find anyone that will be at Jerusalem Hospital around the same time I am, the 10th. Glad my hubby is going with me Especially since it is also our 17th wedding anniversary.
  16. Christy (that is her username) is having hers on 9/7 with Almanza.
  17. Looking forward to reading about your experience.
  18. Does anyone find excersize helpful for your depression? I just wonder if the release of endorphins helps. I hate to excersize, I really hope that changes after I lose some of this weight.
  19. I wish! I will be there on the 10th (Almanza)
  20. Flying out of Columbus. I hope your son is able to go. Maybe we can meet up sometime after we have healed up a bit.
  21. I will do my best to post my experience while I am there and when I return home. I saw on your profile that you are from KY, you probably guessed from my screen name that I am from Ohio. I you flying to San Diego? Is someone going with you?
  22. LV, Your special day is rapidly approaching Have you begun your pre-op diet yet? I wish we were going at the same time, my hubby is a wonderful care giver and we would just adopt you for a few days I hope is going well for you!
