  1. I have five. and with me too, not really pain in stomach. It just hurts getting up out of bed. I'm still on full liquids, going to start pureed foods tomorrow. Good luck to u!
  2. Is it bad to throw up? And could the nausea be from not eatting a lot?
  3. I had surgery tuesday night. I'm not in that much pain stomach wise (well its tolerable) anyway I feel like I'm going to throw up and I'm dizzy. My doctor said its most likely from the meds. How long is this feeling going to last? Everyones telling me by the third or fourth day I won't be feeling this lousy. Is that true?
  4. Thank you all. Surgery went well after a long day of waiting.. Long story short I was supposed to go in at 11am but did not until 8pm! Hospitals fault.. I had surgery tuesday, my question is,is when does this nausea stop?
  5. Thank you. Congrats to you too. And I defintely will
  6. Thank you very much and I will !
  7. Omg! Congrats and best of luck to you too
  8. My surgery is scheduled for tomorrow at 1130 am. I'm very nervous but also excited. I'm hoping everything goes well!
  9. Thank you both very much!! Baileyrose there's another quote I love "nothing tastes as good as being thin feels!" When was your surgery?
  10. I'm 18 years old. I've been overweight since I was little. I've come to the conclusion that I am obsessed with food. Any diet I've tried (and believe me, I've tried them all) I would give in and cheat. I'd fail miserably every time. I couldn't be in front of food without having any. If someone were to ask me if anyone wanted "seconds" I'd be the only one to say yeah. At a buffet I'd go up three or four times. Anyway.. 2weeks ago I started my liquid diet (pre op diet). And let me tell you how proud I am of myself. I did not cheat once.I had a "last supper" three days before the liquid diet started. But since then I've lost a few pounds and only stuck to what the doctor told me. Last week I was at a labor day party. There was sooo much food and I didn't even touch it! I was so happy and proud of myself because I didn't see where this self control came from. But to be honest, I was just in the kitchen and I was sooo tempted to get a bag of chips. And I even went to eat slices of cheese. I had the knife in my hand and I was ready to give in. But it instantly hit me that my surgery is on tuesday!! I've been waiting for this for 5years. I couldn't bring myself to screw this up. So I put away the chips and the cheese and got a jello instead.
  11. How is everyones' journey so far?
  12. I'm not a big drinker but the beverage I do drink has 65grams of carbs. My question is,is it safe to drink when I have the band? (Keep in mind I only drink one a week)
  13. Thank you all for your advice!! Jillkm do u mind sending the list? It would be extremely helpful . Yesterday wasn't too terrible. I'm aloud to have six protein shakes a day thankfully. I'm supposed to have slimfast so I tried the cans. Not to appetizing. I also had two sugar free ice pops and sugar free jello. For dinner I had chicken broth which was sooo good considering I was hungary lol. Today I tried the slimfast powder mix with low fat milk. Omg such a difference. It tastes like a regular milkshake. Definitely better than the cans. Everyone keeps telling me the first couple days of it will be the hardest but I'm think in a few days ill be tired of the shakes and the jello and the damn icepops just like some of u lol. I would kill to have an icecream sundae right about now but I'm staying focused and determined. Cause like all of you, I want this so bad. I'm excited to start my journey to a healthier and "thinner" lifestyle
  14. Today I started my pre op liquid diet. It honestly isn't as hard as I thought (I'm sure it will get harder from here). I'm supposed to have 6 slimfast meals a day and so far I have had one. I just made sugar free jello and will be having that later. I have to do this until september 12th (day before my surgery). Any advice on how to make the days go quicker? Thank you
  15. Congrats!! I have been going through this process for a year too and I will be banded on september 13th. And tomorrow my liquid diet starts!! I'm very excited but nervous too. I wish you the best of luck, let me know how the liquid diet goes!
