I feel ya. I posted pretty much the same thing a couple of weeks ago. A NUT advised me that at my BMI I probably wasn't getting enough Protein in. They doubled my goal and after reaching for that for the last week I have some cautious optimism. I agree with the OP, beba238, there's a lot of hearts/flower/pure success stories here that can make these long stalls just seem that much worse, especially when we're having them so soon after surgery. I don't blame you for not coming by as often. And my goal is not to make it worse for you by talking about my own scale... I would just encourage you to talk to your surgeon about the experience so far and if they're not supportive, talk to a NUT. I think that it is significant your stall started when you started back to work...
Don't give up. We've all been through too much to do that now.

I used the Bariatric powder we were forced to buy from my doctors link. I'm sure you can get a very good powder from the GNC store. I drank their Liquid Protein for over a month. It had a high Protein content and only 4 sugars, and tasted very good, but I now am back on the powder rec. by my doctor. Ask the clerk for a high protein value in your powder. 60-80% of your daily intake should be of protein or you will start losing your hair. You can put your chewable Calcium in the blender too.

As long as you sip the wine afterwards to make it moist. And just chew chew chew. But at three weeks it shouldn't be that much of an issue. Just have a little bottle of Water in your purse just in case because sometimes it can be very dry. Good Luck!

It sounds like you are still putting to much emphasis on food. I say that because you can still enjoy social activities that don't revolve around food! Try asking your friends to do something that's not going out to dinner!
I don't know.. I've gone out to dinner and social events a lot. And I make it about conversation and being out in the world with a far improved comfort level in myself..
Oh and yes my hair is thinning my stomach has a mind of its own sometimes.. But I am getting healthy (skinny I don't know) and happy in my ability to move with ease through life now

I agree with you all! I went 9 days without losing anything, and this morning was down 2 lbs. It will come off, it's not a linear process. I agree that in the past I would have given up and had a Big Mac meal by now. I'm so glad I have this tool that protects me from myself.

I was sleeved March 13th. Anyone else struggling to get the Protein Drinks down? I didn't have a problem with them on the pre-op diet, but I am probably only getting half the amount I'm "supposed" to get in each week. Other than that, doing really good!! Thanks!

I know that I'm only a week out, and I hope that I am one of the many who initially feel buyer's remorse and later come to love their sleeves, but right now I would give anything in the world to go back a week and decide not to have this surgery. I'm in constant pain that's made worse by walking, I can't stand one more sip of Protein Shake, I will never be able to drink 64 oz of Water in a day, and I can't move without feeling stitches stabbing inside my gut.
I'm posting this because I'm a person who spent YEARS researching this and was totally convinced I knew what I was getting into and this is what I wanted. I know there's a lot of sunshine and rainbows on this forum (for which I am often grateful), but I want potential sleevers to know not everyone is thrilled with the outcome. I would take the 9 lbs I've lost and then some to undo this and try to lose weight any other way one more time

These are just a few things that I’ve learned about myself in the 4 weeks since I was sleeved.
I never realized how much Water I would drink with meals. It is a lot harder than I thought it would be not to drink water before/during/after meals.

I never knew how fast I ate before. Sometimes I still forget and speed eat… after only a few bites, the sleeve lets me know I doing it wrong.

I never realized how much food I used to cram onto the fork/spoon. One big swallow, the sleeve lets me know it’s too much. Buying baby utensils has really helped, although I look weird eating with them.

If I have to eat in a hurry, it is better to eat something liquid/puree or nothing at all. The sleeve doesn’t like fast… at all.

    Chewable Vitamins make me gag.

    liquid vitamins make me gag.

    Protein shakes make me gag.

Taco seasoning makes everything taste better.

    I'm obsessed with the scale.< br />
Edited 4/16 - I'm adding a couple more things to the list of things learned:
    10. The feeling of 'nausea' is very different now.
    11. I miss being able to have myself a good guzzle.

I weighed myself 2 days after getting out of the hospital. I was in total shock because i was 10lbs down. But i made a promise that I will only weight myself every week post surgery.
IE: I had surgery on Tuesday so I will only weigh myself on Tuesdays. Its so hard though lol

Walk walk walk walk walk. Tomorrow. Wake up. Go to the mall or any place where you can window shop. AND WALK. I felt the same way your feeling and i walked around Walmart for like 1 hour and then bj's for another hour and the next day i felt so good. And as time went on i kept walking a little here and there.
I kinda also had the same issue that every time i tried to eat i wanted to burp and i would try to force it but nothing happened. Its like acid reflux so get chewable tablets like prilosec.

Good Luck and speedy recovery. My advice to you is as soon as you get the OKAY to move around after surgery, start walking. Walk walk walk around the hospital halls. BELIEVE ME It will help you recover faster. Good Luck!!!

2 years of lap band... decided on Sleeve so almost 1 yr 1/2 but in between getting all pre-op exams done and other thigns that got in the way. But no research we do will actually prepare us for the actual thing but having the knowledge before hand definitely helps.
I am almost 2 weeks post op and i am happy i made this decision.

    Hey everyone!
    I'm from Alabama.
Was sleeved on March 18th in Lagrange, GA. First couple of nights was rough. Dealt with a lot of gas pain and back pain which made it so uncomfortable to sleep. Stayed in the hospital for three days/two nights. First 24 hours, only could have ice chips. Have lost 19 lbs since the surgery. Moving around better and better each day. Been difficult to get my Protein as I am still trying to learn & adjust to getting in all of my liquid/protein requirements. It's something I'm learning each day. Start pureed/blended food tomorrow. Been mostly sticking to the diet. Mostly on baby food. My mom's idea, but I do get my nutrients! Can't wait to have cottage cheese and tuna! Soooo looking forward to that. My doctor had me walking hours after my surgery, and it would increase day by day. Now I'm doing at least a 15 minute rep of walking just around my house at a steady pace three times a day.. 3 to 4 times in the week... but gradually everyday. I have only had maybe two instances of nausea/throwing up, but nothing too major. My incisions are healing well, and I rarely have any stomach pain now. BEST decision of my life!

I started purée stage on Wed and I'm struggling more than I was on liquids. I constantly feel like I need to burp, but can't. I don't think I'm getting enough calories or liquids in. I'm panicking and thinking I might need to just go back to liquids. I am so thirsty but Water, juice, crystal light, propel zero - nothing tastes right. Getting frustrated - what advice do you have?
