  1. That's a couple days after my tentative date, but I am still going to say good luck! Also, the closer it gets to September, the more people who will start showing up on the forum. It is truly possible there will be someone there the same day as you.
  2. Sounds like a plan. I was thinking about doing something similar for my breasts after surgery.
  3. Awesome, that is such an amazing NSV. Keep it up!
  4. Yeah, try not to get discouraged. My boyfriend cuts out a soda a day, and he drops 3 lbs a week. I have to cut down to 1200 to lose 1.5.
  5. I also love Linda's blog because she has really yummy recipes that are carb friendly. Also, in her links on the right side of the page there are links to more blogs with recipes. http://eatingwelllivingthin.wordpress.com/2009/08/10/come-over-for-coffee-youll-be-glad-you-did/ Also, Big Daddy's blog is fabulous if you are low carbing it. I love his recipes and breaks down the carbs for everything. http://lowcarbohydrate.blogspot.com/2010/03/crustless-ground-turkey-quiche-2-net.html
  6. Wow, you are working it whatever size you are at. Fabulous!
  7. Aw, I am so sorry, Kayla. I hope they approve the sleeve. I remember when you first started on here, and you found out your insurance might not cover the sleeve. I hope they change their minds and you get the surgery you want.
  8. Congrats, I can't wait to be where you are. That is such an accomplishment. Keep it up!
  9. Wow, that is amazing. Congrats on such a wonderful and meaningful NSV.
  10. Ah, I know... There is this wonderful place called Stucchi's here in Ann Arbor that has Butter Pecan worth dying for.
  11. That's awesome! I really hope this works out for you.
  12. Welcome to the group! It is great to have you. Don't be afraid to just jump right into the board, this is the place to find information and support if you need it. I didn't tell anyone but my boyfriend and my mother. Not many people in my life would understand why I am having the surgery at my age, but I am sure this is the best decision for me to take control of my health and become happier and healthier person. I don't want to spend the rest of my life regretting my life and end up with the diabetes (which both my parents have), the heart disease, or the blood pressure problems that surely as I yo-yo up and down for the next ten years. I won't tell my sister or my friends unless I really feel like they will support my decision. Also, the 6MSWL will be a good time you to find out all about this surgery and what it entails to make the best of it.
  13. You seem to be making all the right moves, but it looks like the band failed you. I like reading this post because it says you aren't going to give up and you are still willing to fight! Weight loss surgery is not universal and one size does not fit all. Woohoo, another Dr. Webb, I am not even joking how ecstatic that makes me! I have read about him from some previous posters at OH and a little on here, but it awesome keep seeing his name come up. I wish you all the best in your decision, and welcome again!
  14. @carscot01: I can see why you were bummed. That is a pretty convoluted process that really seems to go a little backwards. Good luck on your journey, I am sorry it is having a rough start. You will get through this though. @favoredone: My body did the same thing. I used to eat 1 meal a day at the end of a 12 hours day. Welcome to the forum! Hope you find the information you need from the forum, this is a great place to find that and support.
  15. Nah, I would not leave my boyfriend just because I lost weight. I chose him because he has all the qualities that make him a wonderful boyfriend. He loves me for me, even when I don't, and he supports me decision to get healthier and slimmer. He is slightly overweight by about 25 lbs, but that has no effect on his attractiveness in my eyes. I only worry about him gaining more weight because he already has high blood pressure and cholesterol. I am hoping when we move in together we can start a new chapter for both of us and get healthier.
  16. Lol, I totally understand your mindset. I think after surgery I will be of the same opinion. Congrats!
  17. Welcome! This is one of the best places to find information and get support for whatever stage you are in your journey. I lived in J-ville for the last 10 years, but I am in Tampa now. However, I will still be having my surgery with Dr. Webb at North Florida Surgeons. You are so not alone here. You might wanna check on the band to sleeve revision forum on this website and maybe look up LilMissDiva and Tiffykins. They are both very successful revisions.
  18. Congrats! That is so awesome! Good luck!
  19. Wow, you are such a radiant woman! I hope I look half as good when I am pregnant. Thank you so much for sharing the update. I love hearing about you and Tatum's progress.
  20. @carscot01: Wait, I am confused. How do you have a denial letter? Normally, you have to complete everything then you submit.
  21. Awesome! You are working that sleeve!
  22. If your sodium intake is high, lower that. If you aren't drinking enough water, try drinking more.
  23. Well, I am glad to have both of you on this forum! Good luck on your journeys, and I will be keeping you in my thoughts.
  24. Exactly! I so feel so excited for the both us! That isn't too far away. I really wish you the best on your journey.
  25. Lady, that is amazing. Congrats!
