  1. Surgery 10/27/11. Had my 4th fill and am at 5.2 cc in a 14cc band. Have another month to wait. So frustrated. Expected restriction sooner.
  2. Xavier- very inspirational. Thank you. I'm due for my next fill February 1. I know I'll make it, just frustrated. So glad I vocalized that here.
  3. Kristen- I have lost inches, all over and clothes are fitting differently but I'm tying a lot up to that number on the scale. Pudgey- I wish that were true.
  4. Kristen- I have a protein shake every morning for breakfast. Lunch is spinach salad with 1/2 grilled chicken breast, sprinkle of feta cheese, balsamic vinegar. Dinner is grilled veggies or 1/2 grilled chicken breast with another salad. Have totally changed the way I eat since I was banded. I exercise 4 days a week doing crossfit.
  5. I was banded October 27. To date I've lost 10 lbs, which was preop. I have 4cc in a 14cc band and have no restriction. Seriously hoped to be further along by this point. Feeling very down about all of it.

  7. Sanction, no need to be tacky. If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all.
  8. I have a family history of clots but doctor didn't feel it necessary. My cardiologist put me in meds 2 weeks prior to surgery as a preventative. Good luck.
  9. Wow, Wayne. What an amazing job. Congrats.
  10. Jay Robb chocolate and vanilla whey are great. GNC sells a RTD shake called 'oh yeah' that tastes just like an ice cream shake with 32 g of protein per serving.
  11. Good luck. I'll be joining you in band land on Thursday.
  12. Surgery at 6 am on Thursday. Have been doing so well on preop diet but weight loss has just STOPPED. 11 lbs down. Better than nothing is the way I'm trying to look at it. Starting to get nervous though, for sure. Not even really sure what I'm nervous about. I have an incredibly high tolerance to pain so I don't think that's it. I suppose it's failure. I WILL be successful though. PERIOD!!!
  13. Jam & Polly - hi there. Thanks for the speedy answer. Looking forward to this journey. How about you all?
  14. Hi guys. Surgery on 10/27. Would love a buddy.
  15. Thanks for all the feedback. I REALLY appreciate it all. I think lapbandtalk is the such an amazing support system. Good luck to you all!!!
  16. Starting the 3rd day of preop diet. Not as bad as I thought it would be. This morning I was 3 lbs down. That's a good feeling. I'm so ready for this change.
  17. Corrigan, you're so right. I'm really learning the difference between head hunger and real hunger. Great lesson.
  18. Good for you, D. Sounds like you've got the hang of it. Keep up that good work.
  19. Kelly, sounds like you have a great bunch of co workers. I am choosing not to tell anyone but a handful of people and co workers aren't on that list. I had a lot of 'last supper's' last week too. For some reason, none of them were as good as I remembered. LOL Good luck to you!!!
  20. I have gone through the seminar, the consult, the psych eval, the lab work and today begins the preop diet. I have been told to do a 2 week preop diet of all liquids. I can do this. I keep reminding myself that. I refuse to fail. I have failed at so many other things. This is one of those things that I will (WILL) succeed at!!! Looking forward to the outcome. It's going to be amazing.
