  1. nope just flew, one airport did the full body scan, the one coming back had the walk thru x-rays. both are perfectly safe only thing is due to the altitude your band may restrict for a bit so they say when you land if you fill tight drink something warm
  2. That's too funny we too have a Johnny Rockets by our local theater, small world. I admit I love popcorn too so what me and my husband do is get the small, I get a box put a small amount in it and when Im done Im done, Believe me it was trial and error on that too. Good luck
  3. If you have a vitame store by you they should sell them, they actually sell vitamens that cater to banded people. I have been taking vitamens all along, just switched to centrium chewable along with my calcium chews and gummy fiber's. You'll want to make sure you get extra fiber due to the change in your diet. good luck
  4. I also set mini goals and buy 1 pair of pants a size smaller. LIke humming Bird I kept trying them on once a week till they fit. Pretty soon they will be to big and you will look at them and laugh remembering the day you struggled to get into them. Good luck on you journey
  5. I didnt really fill it till about 4 to 5 cc's. but at true results they have you get a cup of water and be able to drink it and keep in down before they want you to leave
  6. I didnt have stiches, I had the steri strips. they just came off eventualy. Do you have to go back to have any taken out?
  7. Unfortunatly this is the worse part. A girl at my work had this surgery a year before me and was a great weatlh of knowledge. One of the things she did tell me was it was going to be reallllly hard right after the surgery due to your stomach is still normal and wants food. I found that drinking thick things like v8, surgar free puding's helped. And I too got soooo friggen sick of protein shakes I couldnt stomach them for a long timel Good luck, you can do it, it will be worth it I promise
  8. Centruim makes a chewable one, I eat 1 cenrium silver a day. You can check out any health food store, they make liquid ones too. Hope that helps
  9. Thank you for the info, I'll let ya know how it goes, Gonna get another one on 4/2.
  10. Well first off congrats on the weight loss, Im not there yet but trying. I too have a 10cc band and am at 6 right now. Im going for another fill too due to the same problem, hunger pains. I thought I was in the green zone but lately have been getting hungry more often. I was told to eat more protein, but that didnt seem to help either. Let me know what your dr says
  11. ok great thank you, i fill a whole lot better thanks to you and the other kind people. I know now that I more than likely need a fill and can go up to 6.5. thank you and God Bless
  12. it usually takes a long time to stretch it out, but worse case senerao if you did, they will just have you do liquids for a little while till it gets back. I also was worried about that and that was what I was told at my drs office by the nurse.
  13. Im hoping that another fill will do it. What size band do you have? I have a 10cc and Im at 6 now
  14. Yea, I believe it was right after my fill at 5cc's I really felt it. And dont be discouraged if you fall back into bad habits, thats what i did and hit a plateau for about 3 months and just starting to move the needle a little. Going in for another fill in 2 weeks, will put me at 6.5. Keep up the good work, it will be worth if for both us at the end
  15. You dont really fill any restriction until your about 5 cc's, that is normal. As for having stretched it out already, the wose is they will check it for you and you will have to go on liquids for a week. good luck
  16. How would you know if you streached it out? thats always been a concern of mine
  17. I have a 10cc band and I'll be honest, I didnt fill any real restrictions until I was about 4cc's. Im at 6 now and going to get another 1/2 in 2 weeks.
  18. Thank you for the feedback, just wasnt sure if this was normal or not. I have dropped 4 pants size's total but was really hoping to be a bit smaller by now. Glad to hear Im not alone. Again thank you
  19. OMG I soooo upset with myself. I was doing really good for the first 6 months averaging the 5 to7 pounds a month average then whammmmmmm not a dang pound since Jan. 20. Untufortunatly I live out in Avondale and I already drive up there once a month for a fill and with the cost of gas I cant afford 2 trips a month thats why I was hoping for a support group out here on the west side
