  1. I am regretting that I got rid of everything. About 4 months ago I got so frustrated with weight loss that I resigned myself to the fact that I wasn't going to be able to lose it and keep it off. I was tired of having a closet full of clothes I couldn't wear and nothing I could wear. I cleaned it all out and gave it away! Now, I am anxiously awaiting my sleeve on July 26! I cannot wait to have a tool to help me lose this weight and keep it off. I wish I had seriously considered WLS prior to cleaning the closet out, but guess I am gonna get to do some shopping....
  2. We will get over our fears! I am thankful I didn't have a long wait to get the surgery so I can minimize those thoughts that keep popping in my head. I cannot believe it is only 18 days away. I start my diet on the 15th! Glad to have you along for the ride....
  3. Last Father's Day I fixed a photobook with all the pics of my husband with our kiddos through the year. He loved it, but I was jealous. I only have about 2 pics of me with my 3 year old, neither of which I would ever share. Not many more with my 6 year old! I cannot wait to give someone else the camera and have pics to enjoy for years of the wonderful things I am getting to enjoy doing with my kiddos!!!!
  4. Thank you very much for the support! Yes, thankfully I have help at home. My kiddos are going to stay with grandparents for a few days and my husband is great help! I haven't' told anyone at work. I am in the medical profession and I am not sure what my coworkers would say. Doubt I will be able to hide it too long (or atleast I hope I can't because of the weight loss), but I don't need anyone trying to feed me negative stuff.
  5. I am getting sleeved on 7/26!!!! Sooo soon!
  6. I am getting sleeved on 7/26, as well. Would love to have a buddy on the journey.
  7. Well, I have thought about this for years and finally got the nerve to go talk to a surgeon about 2 weeks ago. Wow, how things have flown since then. I am scheduled for a sleeve on 7/26, and I am very excited. I am 33 with 2 young children and want to be able to be active with them. I am apprehensive, too, though because I am their primary provider. That stresses me out. Just as bad is that I work in a very stressful job and have limited timeframe for surgery. I will actually be going back to work on postop day 6..and it's not a desk job! I am praying I am one of the lucky ones, and I am able to do this because I don't really have an option. I am so thankful for the opportunity to become a healthier person and a more active part of my children's lives. I have been lurking on here for a few weeks since my surgeon recommended I consider a sleeve rather than a band (which is what I went in asking for), and I appreciate all the information and honesty on here. The amount I have learned has been amazing and has made me very comfortable with my decision. I can't wait to actually let someone else take a family Christmas picture this year so I can be in one for the first time!
