A girl at work smokes an e-cigarette at her desk. It's hilarious!
  2. LOL about the swimsuit. I still wear one too but I hate it. It's the walk of shame from when I take off my cover up and get into the pool and then the long journey back to my towel. I feel like all eyes are on me. And what there is to be seen is not pretty. Pretty embarrassing more like.
  3. That is SO exciting!! I can't even imagine how you must feel! Awesome and such an inspiration!
  4. I added another one to my list last night. 45. Be able to wrap a regular sized bath towel around me.
  5. Yeah it was packed, is it usually like that? I'm doing good. Started the pre-op diet and everything else the day after orientation. The 16 lbs is since 5/29 when I started a diet on my own. I have lost NOTHING since orientation and starting the pre-op diet!! It's SOOOO frustrating. I was doing a diet with an app on my phone from 5/29-6/14 eating 1900 calories a day and lost the 16lbs. Now eating about 1200 (usually less), still exercising the same as before (an hour a day, 7 days a week) and nothing! No budge on the scale. My first surgeon appointment is 7/14, my lifestyle class is 7/13 and I start my 14 week class at Kaiser Santa Rosa on 6/30. I'm calling Dr. Im for cancellations every couple days, they said it's rare for a consultation cancellation.
  6. Hey Lisa, we were at the same orientation!!
  7. They haven't mentioned if I will be doing a liquid diet I'm pretty sure not as all my instructions say to follow the pre op diet right up until surgery day. I am currently following the pre-op diet which consists of 3 meals, no Snacks. Each meal is approx 400 calories. It is very carefully proportioned. I have to eat my Protein first and then the other parts of the meal. No drinking 10 minutes before a meal or 1 hour after, no gum, no straws, no rice/pasta/tortillas, only well toasted bread, no alcohol, no caffeine...basically what it will be like after surgery. They want to make sure that you are able to do it and are committed because you will have to eat like this for the rest of your life after surgery.
  8. You must have me confused with someone else. I'm having mine done in Richmond, CA. I started my pre-op diet on the 15th of this month. It's not too bad. You can do it! Just think of how great you are going to feel. It's a great reward. Do you have a surgery date yet? I don't. I'm meeting with my surgeon on 7/15 and I hope to get my surgery date them. Tanya
  9. My program automatically gives 4 weeks. You can request if you want less or need more.
  10. Simply gorgeous. What an inspiration.
  11. Congrats to you and your hubby! Keep us posted, I would love to hear how everything goes for you.
  12. Do you mean 60-80 grams of Protein? Or do you actually mean fiber?
  13. I would love to fit into my husband's t-shirts!
  14. I still haven't told my family that I'm having the surgery. My husband is so supportive. He helps me plan my meals and he has read through my information binder 2 times. He is really interested in everything about it and has just been amazing. My kids also know, they don't care either way. Although it's annoying when I buy certain food for myself and they eat it or when i'm trying to measure all the water i'm drinking and they take swigs off my water bottle. But they have been great exercise buddies. My 14 year old walks with my while my 10 year old rides her bike. I've been reluctant to tell the rest of my family because I don't want any advice or opinions. I know what I want and i'm doing it, I think I will wait until right before surgery. But I will definitely tell them at some point. I also have told my boss and my closest co-workers because I will be taking 4 weeks off work and will be missing work due to pre-op appointments and they have been supportive. Good luck! Tanya
  15. I loved your post. I think we are soul sisters. That post could have easily been posted by me. It's my story. I'm so proud of you for getting to this point! I can't wait to see how your journey goes.
  16. Woo Hoo!! Congratulations!! Let me guess, most of these well wishers aren't obese? If they only know what it was like to live this way they would surely change their minds. Enjoy your success, you deserve it!
  17. I thought caffeine was a life time no no?
