diahrrea after surgery?????
Day 4 after surgery and still no BM, but lots of gas!!

this feels like a little mini success story!
I haven't experienced any pain or vomiting after or during eating but every time I eat or drink, I burp! And it last for a while too. I can't wait for this to pass, If I wasn't at home it would be so embarrassing!! Lots of noises coming up from my tummy and out of my mouth too. it's a vocal little sleeve. I love it.

Feeling Very Emotional - Surgery Tomorrow
Girl, everything is going to be awesome. I wish I could go with you! I know the support of my husband right before and after during recovery was priceless. That's the part I fear for you the most, being alone. I'm 4 days out and feel like a different person already! It's the best thing I have EVER done. I'll be there with you in prayer.

when was your 1st bowel movement aftery surgery?
I had my surgery on Wednesday and I have not had a BM yet but I do have gas, both from the attic and the basement. I don't figure there will be much coming out when I do have BM as I'm still on clear liquids.

Today is MY day!!
This has been such an amazing experience. The staff at Kaiser Richmond was awesome, not to mention that they all look like supermodels. I'm home, I'm resting, drinking, eating what I am allowed. I stopped into my support group tonight for about 15 minutes just to show them my owies and let them know how I am. I am the first one of the group that had surgery. I am attaching a pic of me in the hospital. I also updated my vlog last night from the hospital...

surgry aug. 16t
Good job girl! I had my surgery yesterday, came home from the hospital today. The only issue for me is also soreness in my belly now that i'm not on the pain pump. But it's going to be okay! I can't believe how smoothly everything went...I was so prepared for the worst.

Today is MY day!!
Well, I DID IT!! The surgery went smoothly. I was in A LOT of pain upon waking from anesthesia but that was under control in no time. I have a Dialad (spelling?) pain pump that I can use every 6 minutes if needed. I have walked and ate and drank. More details later! xoxo

Today is MY day!!
I got the call last night at about 7pm that I am to report to the hospital at 12:25pm pacific time today...I have been so excited, not even a bit nervous. I'm SO excited for a month off work, I'm so excited for my clothes to start falling off! I'm going to take a picture today before surgery and my grandma wants me to take one every Wednesday for her, she wants to keep a scrapbook. My last meal last night was a bowl of tomato and roasted red pepper soup with grated pepper jack cheese and sour cream. I took my laxative yesterday before work, as instructed, and had to leave early, lol. My stomach is still making funny noises, it's protesting! No food or liquid since going to bed last night and I am hungry and thirsty. I gulped 2 cups of water before I went to bed and realized I will never be able to do that again. Today I'm realizing I have had my last "regular" meal of my life, it's weird to think about. I am bringing my laptop to the hospital so you may get a morphine influenced post later...I'll update in this thread. See you all on the other side! xoxo P.S. I'm attaching a picture of me in Cabo with my kids from March, right before I started this journey. I was 320ish lbs in this pic. This morning I am 279lbs so I have had a 41lb pre-op weight loss. Oh, and I'm 5'5".

Kaiser Richmond patients
My starting weight for orientation was 316 and my goal weight was 293 so not 10%. I have lost a total of approx 40lbs since 5/17, 36 of it since 6/14 when I started the pre-op diet in the binder. They say the diet is approximately 1200 calories but Robin made a point to make sure we knew we were not counting calories, we were counting portions. I am 6 days pre-op and day before surgery I can eat regularly until 6pm and then nothing to drink after midnight...although I got an email from the anesthesiologist that said I could drink clear liquids up until 2 hours before arrival time at the hospital. I have an email in to him to clarify.

Kaiser Richmond patients
Hi, I had my orientation at Richmond Kaiser on June 14 and I'm scheduled for my surgery on August 17, next Wednesday! They use your weight on the day of the orientation there. You will also get your binder with the pre-op diet and you will get your appointment for your surgeon appointment. It will be 2 months between orientation and getting sleeved for me...I hope you are ready for a fast ride! Good luck.

Ok NorCals... we need to decide on a meeting
I can't do August 27 either. Girls spa day with the sisters. And 10 days after getting sleeved!!

I attended orientation at Richmond on June 14 also and my surgery is scheduled for August 17, so about 2 months from orientation. It's as quick as you want it to be, it's in your hands!
