  5. I would love to meet everyone too. I'm over by Santa Rosa but would be willing to drive if it's not any further than Sac. I'll be having my surgery on August 17 so you guys know better than I do when I'll be up to that drive and meeting.
  6. Is someone making sure this list is accurate. People are copying and posting different links and names are dropping off. Like mine just did.
  7. I was never asked to do a nicotine test. Maybe it's because I have never been a smoker? I do have to have a pregnancy blood test, lol.
  8. August 17 here but if there is a cancellation before that he will call me. SOOO excited!!
  9. My surgeon puts you on a diet of regular foods for as long as you are seeing him before your surgery but it's not a liquid diet by any means, it's regular meals adding up to approximately 1200 calories a day. We never have to do a liquid diet. Just no food or drink from 6pm the night before surgery. I've lost 35lbs on his diet since 5/17 without any struggle or hunger.
  10. Make sure to copy the schedule right before your post to insure it includes everyone! We have had a few dates change within the month as well as some moving to September so I have been trying to keep up with changes I see throughout the board! Remember if you see a new August Sleever tell them about our little forum! 11. I've been on my pre-op diet since 6/15. I can have the following: Breakfast: 3 proteins (2 eggs and a meatless sausage) 1 Carb (1/2 c. potatoes or piece of toast) 1 Fat (butter for toast) 1 Fruit (1c fruit or one whole piece of fruit) 1 Dairy (3/4 c. yogurt) Lunch: 3 oz protein (shrimp, tuna, salmon) 1 c. veggies 1 Fruit 1Carb 1 Fat Dinner: 3oz protein (salmon, tofu, mahi mahi) 1 c. veggies 1 Carb 1 Fat 1 Dairy It's an awesome pre-op diet, I'm very fortunate that my program uses it. The pounds drop off, I've lost approx. 25lbs since starting it. Plus, I will only be on clear liquids after 6pm the night before surgery.
  12. Hi everyone, I tested positive for h. pylori and started the treatment yesterday. Has anyone else had this experience? The 3 medication cocktail I have to take for 2 weeks is making my saliva taste like perfume. It is so gross and actually kept me awake last night. If you did have to treat h. pylori before surgery what was your experience? Did it postpone or affect your surgery? Did you get this same side effect as I did? It supposedly only happens in 7% of people and I am a lucky one. I would like to hear anyone's story who has also gone through this. I was completely asymptomatic and would never have known I had it if it wasn't a routine pre-op test that my surgeon does.
  13. Congratulations on your success so far! I can't wait to follow your journey.
  14. Great news Nancy! Keep us posted.
  15. It sounds to me, and I'm no expert, that you are doing AMAZING!! I'm so proud of you.
  16. I can't wait to hear how it goes!! Praying for you.
  17. Good luck on everything and keep us posted.
  18. Good thing they are so cute, right?
  19. I can't wait to hear the details! Congratulations!
  20. I was thinking the same thing about the green dress!! LOVE the sandals too!
  21. That is so tacky! And to show a couple of her pictures from when she was skinny?? I would be pissed if I was her. Heck, I'm pissed and I'm not her!!
  22. That's a great update! I can't wait to watch your transformation!
  23. I'm finding that everyone's experience is so vastly different it would be nearly impossible to give you a good estimate. For me it will probably be about 4 months from referral to surgery, for others a year or more.
