Reminds of the song "Taylor the Latte Boy"
-
I have set up an appointment with my PCP tomorrow to talk about the whole issue.

sorry to hear about the injury. We PT's are a good bunch, if you let them know that you do not want to lose the progress you made with weight loss, and that you want to continue to loose. The PT should be able to help you set up an exercise program that will allow you to still work out even with a brace on.

Every journey begins with one step. Keep up the good work.

Thank you everyone for your advice, it is something that continues to be on my mind. I am going to keep going on my pre-op journey and I am sure I will probalby change my mind a hundred more times back and forth.

I switched insurance companies for this reason. 1 did cover that my company carried and the other did not. Could you look into that, it may not help in the short term, but in the long term(fills and the such) it could.

I have told around 10 people. The reactions that I have received have been mostly positive. I did get a few that said all I needed was to join a group like weight watchers and do it on my own that I did not need the surgery. I decided not to hide it if they can do weight loss and be successful with weight watchers or something else more power to them. But I already went that route and put the weight back on and them some.

It sound like you are on your way there. Keep up the good work.

Ok I made a decision. I used the vacuum storage bags and put them away. My partner's family is coming to visit from Colombia for Thanksgiving. His step uncle is a large man and we will send the clothes to Colombia for him.

I think every who has contemplated getting the band has had the same thoughts as you. I know I have. The board is here to vent and to get support. Good luck with your surgery.

I have a 25 mile bike route that I am hoping to do on Labor Day. Today I did a 14 mile loop. I used the money my Mom gave me as a birthday present to buy a camel bak work much better then a bottle on the long ride. I have alway had bad coordination so it is too awkward for me to reach down and grab my water bottle while riding. I always had to stop to drink water. Now I don;t have to do that anymore.

So much time of the orientation was spent on bypass that I kind of felt cheated. Just happy that once a month there is the choice of only bandsters. The bypass people get there own meeting as well, then there is also 2 combined meetings a month.

Congrats, I am still pre-op but it is great reading stories like yours.

If there is anyone that you should be angry at, it is the trainer that you worked with. I would be looking for a different trainer...interview them, make sure that they have your goals in mind, not what they think you should be. You are paying them good money to keep you from injuring yourself. I broke a rib once working with a trainer, they were suppose to be spotting me and they were not paying attention to what i was doing. It was the last time I worked with that trainer.

thank you for the encouraging words

I have not read it but I think I will download it. Will let you know my thoughts.

3 pounds is nothing. You can weigh a difference of 3 pounds from morning to night. Just keep you eye on your goal.
