Completely normal, search 3 week stall, you may not technically be 3 weeks, maybe a little more, but still applies. Stick with it! Also, check your inches!

It's so hard to even imagine having a "normalized" relationship with food.. if I'm not eating everything in sight, I'm counting calories obsessively.. (right now it's the latter) I hope eventually to get to the point where you are.. where I can just kind of make good choices and eat intuitively.... but for now, yeah, it's pretty much logging every bite that passes my lips.

DrmBig4Evr reacted to joatsaint in AFTER SURGERY THEN WHAT?
My stomach didn't tolerate salad/broccoli/cauliflower/or any kind of fruit till about the 3rd month. Week 1 was pretty much nothing - I was feeling so much pain, I couldn't eat. Week 2 - 4 was protein drinks and Cream of Chicken soup. Weeks 5 - 8, I was eating grilled chicken I ran through the food processor, refried beans and salsa pretty much 24/7.
Since then, my stomach will grumble but tolerate - tomatoes, cauliflower, broccoli, mushrooms, carrots, and (insert any fibrous vegetable here). And it grumbles but tolerates any fruit I've tried - apples, bananas, strawberries, grapes, pineapple.
All you can do is test your stomach with a very small bite and wait a few minutes to see how it responds.

I wonder if the insurance companies are thinking the cost of lapband complications are too high compared to sleeve.
Heh.. I over ate once and learned my lesson, it was awful. I guess we have o learn lessons the hard way

You must go back to the basics. Cleanse yourself, I would suggest even doing a mini-liquid diet if possible for a week. Then, remember always protein first then veggie, then carb. You won't have as much room for the carbs. I am a carb addict and I know I need to plan my meals ahead of time as to avoid snacking on the stuff there for my sons lunches. Also, excercise more and with intense intervals. Good luck!

Thank you for sharing. I was sleeved on the 13th. Gas is a killer no matter what I do. I have 10 burps for every sip of water. I hope it gets better soon. Keep us posted on how it goes. I too have no hunger though miss food but I know it will hurt me so can easily abstain. Take care!

Maybe that is a bit too much food right now and that's why you feel bad or hurt. I'm 5 weeks out and I could either do the cheese stick or the egg and mayo. And i'm not sure I could eat the entire egg! lol Just depends. And the cracker may be getting stuck, sometimes bread type stuff does that! Just suggestions =) Hope it gets better!

Our sleeve is a tool. We still have the demons inside our head to fight with. Don't dwell on relapses.....just start out with a fresh attitude of making good choices. Good luck

Before the sleeve, I constantly craved sweets, now, nothing! Occasionally, now my head will remember and I have decided that it has to be something of really good quality, i.e., homemade, fabulous, etc. I absolutely refuse to eat anything that is just so so anymore. Today, at the elementary school where I work, there were sweets everywhere for the Valentine's parties going on. The only thing I ate was a mini homemade red velvet cupcake and it was the perfect size, 3 bites and I was completely satisfied. Before my sleeve, I could have eaten 6 mini cupcakes and not be satisfied what so ever!
The things I really miss are bread products, but it is just not worth the problems that I have experienced with bread. Hopefully one day I will be able to enjoy a small piece of a great bagel again.

I took a nap everyday before going back to work. Once back to work, I napped on my off days for the first six weeks. Rest your body whenever you can, it helps to heal.

I am so glad to see someone else had the blurry vision. I have never experienced that before. I googled and found it was a side effect. I too am a low BMI and was worried about insurance approval but I had two other issues - Pre-diabetes and sleep apena.
