A friend at work who knows I will be having surgery said to me " your husband won't be able to keep his hands off of you when you get that weight off". yes it will be so nice to not have to pay him to put his hands on me. lol what can you do?

  11. My surgery is the 24th and I am feeling the same way off and on. Sometimes I can hardly wait and sometimes I wonder what the heck am I doing! Then I get on here and see all of the amazing results and just can't wait until I have those results myself. Since we are only 1 day apart in our surgery keep posting and we can keep each other going.
  12. When you are sitting down if you will tighten you calf muscles every now and then that will help. That is basically what happens when you walk and what the machine in the hospital was doing for you.
  13. I ust tried the watermelon/strawberry and I really like it. I love that you can adjust the flavor.
  14. I start my pre-op liquid diet Monday and I'm confused about what protein drinks I can have. My doctor's list says protein drinks but do not use Boost, Ensure or Slimfast or other Body Builder Type Supplements so what else is there? Any help will be appreciated. Thank you all

  16. You might ask your Dr. about phentergan gel. you rub it on your wrist and it helps with nausea. I will keep you in my prayers.
  17. Sarsar thank you for asking. My appt went great. He spend an hour and fourty five minutes explaining everything. I didn't even have questions to ask when he was through. lol. I think I'm in good hands. My surgery date is June 24th and I can't wait. I am starting the low fat preop diet and then 7 days before surgery the liquid diet. I can't wait to be on the other side and start my new life.
  18. I saw my surgeon today and my surgery date is June 24th. Excited, nervous, excited, nervous can't decide which i want to be right now. Lol I think i'll go with excited!
  19. Hey everyone, well I have my first appointment with my surgeon today and I am getting pretty nervous. He is an excellent surgeon but he hasn't done very many sleeves (under 20). I don't think many surgeons in my area have. I know that all of the docs have to start somewhere but still..... maybe it's just nerves in general and this is my excuse. I don't know. anyway thanks for listening
  20. Herbalife vanilla dream is really good. All of their flavors are good if you put them in the blender with ice and a teasp of sugar free jello pudding powder (whatever flavor you want, cheescake and white chocolate.... yum) and blend, blend blend. of course I haven't started on my journey yet, I meet with my surgeon on 6/2, so i dont know if using a blender is ok or not, but these are delish.
  21. Hi my name is Linda and I am soooo excited to finally be here. I am 50 and live in northern Louisiana. My weight has fluctuated for about the last 25 years. I am at my highest weight ever now and I am sick of that roller coaster ride. I have been wanting to have the sleeve for a couple of years and since my insurance doesn't pay for it I have put it off. I don't have a surgery date yet but will be meeting with my surgeon on 6/2/11.
  22. Hi I am wondering if anyone has used Dr. Zizi in West Monroe, La. I know he hasn't been doing the sleeve very long but has done the lap band for years. Any info would be helpful Thank you.
