I know how you feel. When I first started looking into WLS I originally intended on doing the LapBand. I went to a consult with one doctor's office and a seminar from another doctor. Both places I could not get over the thought of having 85% of my stomach taken out. But I kept researching both the band and the sleeve and after much looking around I decided the sleeve was the best way to go. There was just to many problems with the band (slippage,throwing up,etc) and it seems that everyone is so dang HAPPY with the sleeve. So now my surgery date is set for August 1st and I have no regrets about my decision. Keep up on your reading and I think you will come to the same conclusion. Good luck!

I am getting sleeved August 1st. Looking for a sleeve buddy to help me thru the process.... I will be 50 on the 8th...married with 2 kids (15&13)

Hope some more people who are going to have August surgery date come and find us ALL STARS! How is everyone else doing? I am counting the days (minutes) ordered some nectar Protein samples from BJ's Bariatrics cuz you can pick your samples Monday morning I get my lab, ekg, & chest xray...looking forward to knocking down the days and getting this thing done!

Just got off the phone with the surgeon's office and I am officially scheduled for August 1st!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yippee!!! I am on my way! I want to thank everyone who posts about their surgery experience cuz it has helped me tremendously! I know what to expect, what to buy b4 surgery and what to do post op. Your guys are the best! Now, who else is going to be a Hot August Sleever?

I think obsession has now become my middle name!!! Got the seminar,initial consult,psych,nut,& egd done. Waiting for call for 2nd consult, surgery date, and blood pull. Got the call late this afternoon from the Doctor but missed him! So I will call Friday morning and get this moving!!!! Cannot wait to get started! It is ALL I think about...All the time!
