  1. You've done a great job! I even called my husband in to see your post. That is how happy I am for YOU.
  2. I've lost 50 and I don't even notice the difference. So many people know I have the band (my 2nd one) and they are just being kind. First place I lost was in my face and it is quite noticable there. I'm down from a tight 3X to a good fitting 2X so haven't lost much in clothes either. It's funny how things work. I could lose just one more pound and people may notice. It is like they don't notice and then suddenly they do notice! Like I said, people say they notice and I am getting lots of positive reinforcement. Talk about good friends.
  3. I'm a J cup and it looks like the boobies are going to be the LAST area I'm going to lose. Good Job Lose 100!
  4. I think that a lot of times that people tell us we have lost too much weight because they are so used to seeing us fat, when we reach a good weight they think we look to thin. Say my normal weight if I had never gotten fat would have been 110 (This is just an example to show a point). If everyone was used to seeing me at 110, they would think I was just petite. But if I had been 300 lbs and lost my weight and became 110 people would think I lost too much weight. Even though that might have always been the right weight for me. I hope you are able to follow my example. This is what I think happens.
  5. I ate some during the mushie phase.
  6. I used to belong to that site. Then I found this one and LOVE it. So much more honest and loving over here.
  7. I can't eat bread either and can't even fathom having enough room for a Big Mac, pizza or submarine sandwich. Of course they all have bread, so I couldn't eat them, but I wouldn't have room for any of it - even without the bread!
  8. Good for You! You are doing spectacular! Don't think I could have done it. The donut might not have stayed down, but I don't think I would have been as strong as you!
  9. Great! When was your birthday? July 6? I am struggling to get to my 50 lb loss. Keep hovering at 47-48 lbs lost, but it will come!
  10. I had it, but it did go away.Terrible feeling isn't it?
  11. Some people, like me, physically can not eat them. I hope you can.
  12. I also have very small ankles. In fact, framewise I am very petite. Since you don't have "tankles" I think you would like it.
  13. Hi - I have an ankle tattoo and to be honest, I didn't think it hurt very much. Kinda tickled.
  14. Actually, Dee, it makes sense to me and I would use the brussel sprout. Not sure that is the "right" way, but I don't think it can hurt, so why not?!
  15. I really like the one you have, Carolina Girl. I married into a family and was a "tattoo virgin", so the one I got was my husband's name on my ankle or exactly the reasons mentioned. I didn't imagine I would lose or gain too much on my ankle.
  16. Elisa81 - where in CA do you live? I'm in the Riverside area. I'm surprised you are having trouble finding a doctor who accepts Tricare. I'm on Tricare and the Dr's seem to love it because it pays so much and so easily.
  17. I am thinking about getting one. I am a size J! and am 55 years old. I guess I just think it is better to lose my weight before the surgery. I loved having big breasts but now they just feel so heavy and, of course, are saggy.
  18. I'm glad to hear it is easy too. I need to get one because my bariatric surgeon found a mass on or in my esphogaus when he did an upper GI on me.
  19. I checked out that fit bit website. That is pretty cool!
  20. What is MFP & TDEE? I can kinda see what TDEE means, but have no idea what MFP is?
  21. Larry - where do you post our weekly weights. Sorry, I have been having trouble finding them. Sorry that was in bold - computer thingy! Terry
  22. 211.6 Finally out of the "teens"!
  23. Sorry everyone isn't as perfect as you, Melissa! I am on my second lap band. The port wasn't connected, so it did nothing. (not my fault, and I was feeling pretty low with everyone telling me I was doing something wrong) This one is working great and I am thrilled. I get discouraged, etc., just like an average bandster. This is a site for ALL bandsters. Where else, but this site, can I find encouragement when I am struggling. If you are tired of the negativity don't read it!!! But I agree that people here post when they need help, want answers, etc. I know I have and thankfully kind people have helped me.
  24. Hi. My tubing somehow wasn't connected to my port the first time around. I had my old 14 cc lap band replaced and now have a 10 cc. First time thru was very discouraging, but with the new band I am losing steadily. Let's hope for the best and be confident that your new surgery will correct the situation and you will be back on track!
  25. Thanks so much for asking, Elcee. The only thing my Dr. was concerned about was that I have a mass on my esphogus. He couldn't tell if it was on the inside of my esphogus or outside. I made and appt. with my primary so he could order an endoscopy. They aren't worried about my bowels. and they could see my pouch, but said it was very small. Another surgeon did my surgery, but has left. So, I think you were right. Dr. Google did create some undue stress!!
