Has Anyone Else Had A Hiatal Hernia Fix When They Where Banded?
I just found out Wednesday that I had one that was repaired during my lap band surgery. I didn't even know I had one, much less had one repaired. My surgery was in December.

Humiliated At Work Today! Omg!!!!!
Hi - I'm soooo sorry you had to go thru this. Is there a chance that the mean lady just jumped to conclusions because you lost so much weight. Perhaps your co-worker didn't tell. After all, the mean lady did get the type of surgery wrong. If your co-worker told her you had lap band then I think the mean lady would have said lapband and not bypass. Just a possibility.

Gained All Weight-Can I Still Get A Fill
Hi - This happened to me and when the Dr. (after 2 years) did a flouro - only cause hubby asked - the band had never been connected! I agree with the others, maybe your band has a leak or something. I had my 14cc band taken out an a new 10cc band put in. Now I feel restriction and love, love, love my band whereas before I didn't love it so much - LOL

Professional Help
I also have issues that I know I will need therapy to overcome. I have been in therapy many times before, and frankly, I am burned out on it. However, if I could find a therapist that dealt in eating disorders, I would go. Good luck and Blessings to you.

Be My Valentine Challenge
Slowly but surely. Down to 220, a loss of 1 lb. AND I did only look at candy at the store yesterday, but today it is all ON SALE!! My bad habit is one that I have a hard time breaking. I eat intelligently when hubby is around. But if he isn't around, I'll sneak something like sherbert or his ice cream. I'll buy a candy bar if I'm out shopping alone, or get eat something while he is at the bar. Any ideas on why I do this?

People Who Regret Getting The Band
re-gaining I mean.

People Who Regret Getting The Band
Yes, the ragaining scares me too. Even gastric bypass people regain. Think how awful that must be for them. All that re-routing and then gaining weight back. At least for most of us banders, if we regain our weight, all we have left is the band. Jan, I would think that maybe your surgeon could remove it probono because of how it is ruining your life. Guess that's too much to ask.

Coming Back After A Very Long Time!
Hi Kate - I remember you from the other wls site. Glad to have you over here. I find this a much, much nicer site. Not all the bickering and put downs like the other forum.

Want To Be A Buddy/ Mentor
I REALLY need a mentor. For my first band, the tubing was never connected, making it worthless. This time, however, the band is working great!!! I have so many questions and want to do everything right to make sure this band continues to work for me. Thanks, Terry

How Much Damage Does Being In The Red Zone Cause?
YEAH! If this is green zone, I'm stoked. I just worry so much about my band this time around.

How Much Damage Does Being In The Red Zone Cause?
Jayeedee - My band stops me from eating, I eat very, very little and then my band says "no more!". I don't have a chance to learn where my stop point is because the band stops me. Gee - I'm encouraged that maybe I'm not in the red zone. Thanks! Keep those comments coming, everyone!

How Much Damage Does Being In The Red Zone Cause?
Hi. I don't know if it is unusual or not. BUT, it must be because I didn't experience that horrible hunger other bandsters call "bandster's hell" because they haven't received their first fill and are sooooo hungry.

How Much Damage Does Being In The Red Zone Cause?
For Banded Down Under - I'm not vomiting at all. Just have the two symptoms I stated. So does that make a difference in your answer? B-52. Like your name. My dad was a B-52 pilot. I had my surgery on December 13. I haven't had a fill, and sure don't need one now. I've only seen a Dr. once since my surgery and he said I was healing fine. That's it!
