  1. Liss E The choking, vomit, aspiating, and not sleeping is on point. Thanks for the heads up. Good luck on your surgery.
  2. I have a digestion problem which may be cause by my sleeve surgery on Jan. of 2011. When I sleep, food & liquids back up into my lungs cause me to aspirate with coughing periods as long as 15 minutes. This is not only from late night eating, food consumed before 6 p.m. will cause me to aspirate when fall asleep about at 11 p.m. On occasions, I have chills and fever the next day (pneumonia). I have been taking Nexium for the last 6 months. A few days ago I visited a bariatric specialist; he stated my symptoms could be from the sleeve surgery or a Hiatal Hernia. The doctor said a Gastric By-pass maybe the answer. This Wednesday, I am schedule for a series of test to diagnose this dilemma. All else, the surgery have been an overwhelming success. Question for the group, is anyone familiar with this type of digestive problems after sleeve surgery. ThanksLash44

  4. I have an old very nice and expensive suit. The paints are 52 inch waste and coat is 50 inch. I would like to have the suit altered to my new weight and size if at all possible, to be honest the suit have sentimental value to me. My wife says, I should ditch the old suit and get a new one. What would you do? What do you think I should do?
  5. This is the results of my recent blood test. Diabetes gone, bad cholesterol disappeared, high blood pressure moved out, sleep apnea departed, hypertension not here, gout vanished, prostate problems divorce me. Down a from 52 inch gut to a nice 38, was 305 heavy on the scale to 185 lbs. Not bad for a 62 year old dude. Looking forward and wishing well. Thanks VST.com for the continuous support.
  6. First at two and one half years, I am holding the weight down. It's an everyday struggle but it's worth it. My problem is consuming (approx. 60 to 75 ounces per day ) a lot of liquids containing aspartame such as Crystal Lite, Hawaiian Punch, and other non-carbonated drinks with aspartame. The problem now is headaches; I will talk to the doctor at my next visit in a few weeks. The headaches have slowly gone away now I am drinking more water and less diet drinks. My question has anyone gotten headaches from diet beverages. There's a ton if info on the web about aspartame and headache. Thanks Lash44
  7. I been taking liquid Vitamins with great success. The thing is they are expensive and the Sams Club & costco no longer carry them. Sleeve can not tolerate pills. Thinking about "Gummies". Open to suggestions. Thanks

    Panera's Hidden Menu

Panera's is a business, lets face it. They are out to make a profit, that's the nature of business. Yet on the other hand if a business can reply to the a demand, that most eating establishments don't and they can make money doing so. That's a plus for them. Most restaurants do not offer high protein low carbs meals. McDonald's is dropping its Fruit & Walnut Salad. It's up to a healthy eating public to request more nutritious menus to make a difference. Panera's is a start.

    Panera's Hidden Menu

As a continuing struggle to maintain my post op weight, I just learned of this today, although some of you may already know about it. It seems Panera has a "secret" menu. You won't see it listed in the restaurant. You have to tell the staff you're ordering from the "Hidden Menu." There is a handful of very low carbs, high Protein options that look really good. Just ask the sever about the hidden menu. http://mypanera.panerabread.com/arti...s-hidden-menu/ Lash
