Grider got a reaction from Tomo in Stall
Takes time for the body to adjust. I started to lose after 3 months. Then stall and now I’m loosing again. Metabolism, Water, medication , too much food, too little food, hormones, all play into and and everyone is different. Trust the process and you will start to see changes.

I understand that hormones can change with weight loss surgeries. You have a lot on your plate but you need to stop -just stop with the battles. Let go and give them to God. One person alone with having major surgery amid making life time changes it is too much. Crying is good, but laughter is healing for the body and soul.
first take care of you. Find a quiet place, and take time to just be still. Put in a funny movie - something lighthearted that makes you happy or music, a sermon. Call your Dr or support group or find a therapist so you can vent, but get help.
we can’t fix the world, and sometimes the more we try, the worse it gets . Concentrate on you. The eviction thing, tell the attorney to handle it, it’s why you pay him. What’s in the past, try to let it stay there. Court things taking forever right now, there’s always a lot of back n forth. Calendar it 4 weeks from today.
people can’t hurt you more than what you let them. You stay in control, of you . Learn to respond and not react to unwelcomed news. Wish you the best.
just read your profile. Happy Birthday. For you and me both. 4/29/ 53 here. 🎊

I just poured 8 oz out and beat the hell out of it with a whisk. Add a splash of lime juice. No more bubbles. Left the bottle in frig in opened. I don't seem to be having much problem.

I got more questions doing a survey from my bank. I answered some basic questions. Family history etc My expectations for the weight loss. My concerns or fears of surgery or not being able to eat. If had support system and other surgeries etc that was that. 45 min of small talk. Don’t worry - they are more concerned of your attitude about a major surgery. Everyone is nervous.

Grider reacted to Arabesque in Dumping And Such...
Was it dumping, the foamies or just your restriction? Dumping makes you feel physically sick & you may vomit or have diarrhoea, cold sweats, heart palpitations, etc. takes time (often hours) to recover. The foamies feels like something is stuck, you produce excess salvia & you may regurgitate a thick foamy saliva & often whatever you ate that was ‘stuck’. I also sometime have a barking cough as if trying to shift the obstruction. It passes quickly. Your restriction is a heaviness or tightness across your upper chest. I find myself thumping my chest as if to relieve & open it up again. It can take longer to pass than the foamies but not hours like dumping.
The first time I had the foamies was with a mushy carrot but potato sits heavily in my tummy - like groan heavy, eaten way too much heavy & after only a bite or two. Still does & I’m three years out. (Bread & Pasta is the same for me.) It’s all part of how we are different.
At the beginning your tummy can be sensitive & fussy. Eat something today no issue. Eat it tomorrow & your tummy is no way. But two days later all is fine again. I called mine a petulant, tantrum throwing 2 yr old.

Good for you! I’m 69 and 1/2 way through the process hoping for July surgery. 3 mo of dietitian is required by my Medicare Ins. I am having some set backs with the gym - achy muscles n trips to the chiropractor’s office, amd no weight loss, but still moving forward with cutting out bad foods n Portion Control. There are quite a few videos on weight loss diets on YouTube, but the Dr will give you a pkg of instructions. Good luck, at least in my location, there’s quite a few “ over 65” surgeries. They look great !

How’s the exercises going ? And Water intake ? I had a lap band yrs ago and I remember periods if nothing - the body becomes accustomed to the routines. I ate bit more and changed all the exercise routines and I started loosing again. Now I’m on my way to getting a G Sleeve and remembering my past challenges.

If have Insurance, it is more like $30,000. I don’t pay that, it’s what they charge them. I’ve seen the bills. They negotiate after that. Medicare pays most if the procedure n hospital stay in Fl. And my other BCBS ins will cover the rest. I’m ok for that part of it. As retired, I see the shakes and vita waters etc are expensive. Guess it’s only a couple of months, hopefully. 🤞🏼Mexico has great Drs. I’d be more worried about traveling, but some handle that pretty good. Good luck to all, my last dietician is June 16, crossing fingers - my surgery be in July.

    Lizonaplane,
If you read my whole text -you see I added the universe or the trashman, it’s a common saying - that really just means release the burden.
You are free to think as you wish, the young lady asked for support in an open forum, don’t ruin it for her. This question was about her and her situation, not me or you. We are all on a mission and in our own struggles, have a great afternoon.

Pray…. Prayer changed things. Everything! Ask God for what you want and he will answer in due time. You came too far to give up or let anything make you go back.

Lemons ? So let’s make lemonade? Turn on the musics and dance. Even if sitting down. Just do it where it’s safe and it does not hurt. There are many routines you can do with the help of a sturdy chair. It won’t be long - you will bounce back. I just started and hurt my back with Zumba. I’m ok now and will try something else until I’m string enough.
