Great blog. I agree a lot of people think this is a miracle fix. It is not!!!! It's a tool. We still have to do all the work. I had a long road even before the surgery with nutritionalist and insurance programs. I am 2 months post op but 8 months since the start of my journey. I have lost 45 lbs. It's slow but I'm happy with that since for once I am sticking with it.

JessyM,
Welcome, you'll see you are not alone here. We all have our struggles with food. But adding to your diary will really help. I like to go back and read what I have written even a few days ago. I was banded on 5/12 but I am still on liquids until June 8-9 depending on how my first fill goes on the 6th.
Take it one day at a time.
Talk to you soon.

I feel for yah. I got lucky and was able to take off until the end of the week. So I have been putzing around the house. I made dinner tonight as well, lol, roast. I'm still on a liquid diet but I don't want them to feel like they can't eat. My stomach is also hard in certain spots so I'm glad to hear your doc said the same thing. Keep it up you are doing great!!!

Yes it will help. The nurses told me they wanted to hear me down the hall. Lol.

Thank goodness you have no gas pain. I had surgery yesterday and that right now is my biggest issue. I have had to take pain meds because of it so I can get up and walk. I guess that is the best remedy.
Good luck on your journey.

I did the sf chocolate icream pops. I Think they are 90 cals but not sure. Oh almost forgot to mention, my Tom feel on the tail end of my liquid diet. My hubby went to four stores before he could find something. Good luck, I hope next month is easier for us all.

Great job! I'm on day 12 of my all liquid diet and everyone in my house is still alive. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Just keep busy and time will fly by. I didn't believe that at the beginning when someone told me but now that I am just a few days a way from surgery. It really did fly by.
Good Luck.

I have let my family know but I have kept it from everyone at work.
Honestly I wish I would have just told my hubby and best friend. I get really tired of the first question I get from family is "so how much have you really lost" I have read a lot of post and I have started to use the comeback "I haven't weighed in recently so I don't know" or "i'm not at goal"
No body but me and my doc need to know the numbers. Also if I focus on the numbers it drives me insane. I like to focus on clothes. Something I have always hated to shop for. But right now I am down from a 24w to a 16w.
You need to ask yourself what kind of support you need after the surgery. Do you need the accountability? or do you need extra emotional support? Work out buddy? Do you not want to hear it at work? Just go through some questions and listen to your heart on who you would like to know.
Hope that helps, it's a tough decisions.
