  1. I also suffer from severe fibro and cfs and you're right, no one does understand what happens when your body absolutely is pissed off at you and won't relent. Yes, it was insensitive and thoughtless, we've all been guilty of it. Just like wls, education is key. You did the research, you participated in the forums and were totally prepared. NO ONE can prepare your body when you have fibro. It's one of my biggest fears going through this. I wish I could make this easier for you, seriously, if you need someone to talk to, call anytime. Renee`
  2. Please stop this. You have no idea who Meggie is or what she's going through right now, you're only posting to advertise and it's disgusting. I hope that Dr. Aceves' office does something about it because this is NEGATIVE advertising. Meggie, drink what makes YOUR tummy happy girl! You'll get through this, I don't need to tell you that, you know after reading up for so long it can be rough at first. I say drink whatever you can to get fluids in and screw anyone that doesn't like it. I'm so upset right now over this and I know I shouldn't be. Way over emotional over what you're drinking lol dumb, eh? What you drink doesn't matter right now as long as you get something in. If you need someone to talk to, I can give you my phone number. Either way, please don't get discouraged. I know you're hurting and feel awful, just keep sipping. XOXO Renee` \
  3. YAY! now you have to tell me if it was painful or totally icky to get that thing pulled out this morning. ugh, makes me gag thinking about feeling it come out. Not sure how I'll handle it, maybe I'll just pass the hell out and save myself the trauma of it all LOL I'm so glad you're doing wonderfully well and are back! Renee`
  4. I adore all of you! Even though we had some vastly different opinions on here, everyone kinda respectfully stated theirs while acknowledging it wasn't everyone's way, but *their* way. I just want to get all sappy and say "awwwww..group hug!" LOL Irene, I get it because I had those very same issues in HS and once "cured" I vowed I would never go there again. I've kept that vow (obviously!) but I think the scale may throw me back into that mentality as well. I may end up changing my mind at some point, who knows but for now I just can't look at a scale and allow it to determine whether or not I'm a failure again. I wanna feel good again, don't we all? So to me, that's the be all and end all of it. Thanks so much everyone for your replies! XOXO Renee`
  5. I saw on youtube someone froze their Protein shakes into little popsicles and actually had better luck with them. Have you tried that? When I read this post I hadn't realized you were having such a hard time with it but since watching the videos I get it a bit more now. Renee`
  6. ybnormal replied to a post in a topic in The Gals' Room
stinky winky? LOL too cute! I'm glad you weren't btw
  7. congratulations! I know you have to be way excited, I would be. Although like you, I think I would be freaking out a bit too over having someone cutting on my face...eeeek! Keep us posted XOXO Renee`
  8. oh man that stuff makes me run, not walk, to the bathroom! I bought some chocolates that were sugar free / low carb with xylitol in them one time and my family wanted to kill me. "sorry kids! Mom was TRYING to make us healthy..." my son from the bathroom "I didn't have problems going to the bathroom! THANKS MOM! " oops... It's kinda like make up, a little is good, too much is well...too much. LOL XOXO Renee`
  9. You weigh how much? How tall are you? We need just a little more information in order to help you, but welcome to VST! Renee`
  10. ohmygosh Meggie you poor thing! I feel so bad for you as I watch your video. Have you tried the gallon jugs of spring Water? Maybe those won't taste so bad and the store brands are fairly cheap. Also the bruising on your arms, they may have had to move you while you were out of it OR when they helped you get up and you don't remember it happening? Either way...UGH! that sucks! Thank you for your brutal honesty on youtube, it really does help those of us that will be going through it! XOXO Renee` I'm watching some of your other videos now and saw the one of the night before. I have to say you son is so handsome and so SWEET when he bends over to kiss his "brother" and I could see the love in his eyes and how proud he is of you. You're very lucky to have been so blessed.
  11. Good luck and please keep us posted as to how you're feeling and that everything went well! Renee`
  12. Trin are you getting all the Protein and Water in that you need? Adding Vitamins like b12 at all? I agree with Cali in that you have lost a lot of weight in a short period of time. It's a really emotional time but it gets better I've heard. keep your chin up, you're doing amazingly well, YAY YOU! XOXO Renee`
  13. laughing helps the tummy muscles! Anyone remember the 20min workout or anything? the one chic that always was like "4 MO! 3 MO! 2! and take it from the top gimme ..." rofl man, thanks for making me remember that, it was awesome and my tummy muscles are thanking me already!
  14. ohman, sorry but I'm hoping he doesn't bust out in giggles like I did at the "The gas will pass" part and hurt himself lol Renee`
  15. Seriously thank you Erin and to all that have read my blog, emailed and commented. Support right now means everything to me!!! Renee`
  16. Raine thank you so much for sharing. It's good therapy, I think, to share and know that you're not alone. It's been a rough couple of weeks and my emotions are all over the place for some reason. I can't wait to get my surgery out of the way and on to a new life. Thanks so much Raine *hugs* I know all about the tears. Everything people say to me right now sends me into a tailspin and reaching for the tissues. Emotional time for all right now I guess. Renee`
  17. WOW! ok that gives me tons of hope! Thanks! Renee`
  18. I love both of these but not the low-fat or non-fat styles. Renee`
  19. You go girl! Seriously I was a bit worried about your mushie day and crossing my fingers for you. Glad my super powers (finger crossing, everyone knows this is a super power!) worked for you. LOL Renee`
  20. I suffer from severe Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue syndrome and most days it's everything I can do to get out of bed. There are days that I literally slide out of bed and crawl to the bathroom because I hurt too bad to walk. What happens when you can't exercise? I know it will slow weight loss and that's fine with me, I just kinda want to know what to expect aside from flabby butt cheeks and wobbly arms LOL Does anyone know of exercises to do from bed besides leg lifts? Renee`
  21. Awesome! I'm so glad you're doing well and are almost ready to head home. Agreed, it's easier to stay on top of the pain with pain meds on time rather than to wait until it starts hurting. Renee`
  22. I had let this drop. Honestly you are anything but respectful and that's your right. I hadn't replied to your post and I let it drop. THAT was respectful. I have no idea what your problem is with me and I don't care. You've totally changed the point of this thread which was in no way shape or form a complaint from meggie, it was simply to help others. Empress, this is to you, if you have nothing nice to say to me, don't say anything. I have much more going on in my life than to respond to your pithy replies to posts that I make. Enough. It ends now. Renee`
  23. Updated my blog. Shitty last couple days and my mood has declined from being upset and angry to pissed off and wanting to beat the crap out of someone. This is a totally sh!t time in my life and I'm trying to stay positive for upcoming surgery and get as healthy as possible before hand. Cliff notes on my blog: My husbands close friend committed suicide and we're struggling to deal with that here at home. In reality, what I'm screaming in my head right now is keep your nasty snide comments TO YOURSELF and leave me alone unless you have something positive to say. Renee`
  24. Are you serious? Get over it and get on with your life. Renee`
