calories - that is the most important thing. I've done very little exercise (which I know i need to improve - these last 10 pounds will be the hardest to lose, i'm sure!)- 11 Months, 131 Pounds Gone - Normal Bmi!!!!
Just a note to say that this morning I hit 145.0 pounds - which means I've lost 131 pounds in just over 11 months from surgery - And I finally hit a normal BMI!!!! (i'm on the high end of normal - but normal nonetheless!!!!). I'm so excited. From tight size 22/24 to loose size 8 and size 6 - with medium and small shirts!!!! YEAH!!!!!!!!! BEST OF LUCK TO US ALL ON OUR JOURNEYS!!!!!!- I Was Banded On____Since Then I Have Lost____!
I was banded on 7/5/11 and since then i have lost 129.6 pounds!!!!- Drinking
true - my doc said no alcohol for 6 or 8 weeks after surgery (i forget) and i complied. But after that... vodka and crystal light was the thing for me!- Drinking
Vodka plus crystal light here also about once every week or two ... Several drinks worth low cal non carbonated and great tasting!- Has The Band Actually Worked For You?
1. How long have you been banded? Since 7/5/2011 - just under 11 months 2. How much weight did want to lose? 141 3. How much weight have you lost? 129.4 4. How happy are you that you have been banded: scale of 1-10 (1 being regretful, 10 being elated) 100000++++++ MY ONLY REGRET is not doing it much sooner. Seriously. This is a life changing wonderful thing. I am complimented DAILY. It truly is wonderful.- Bad Day
you should of course practice not eating and drinking simultaneously while eating - this will get you ready for when you have restriction - it is impossible for me to eat and drink now - there is no room at all for drink - barely any for food - i'm tight. This is just what worked FOR ME. I'm not endorsing going against any rules. It just is what it is - I credit a little water with my fullness and my fullness with my weight loss during bandster hell.- Bad Day
To be clear it is not possible for me to eat and drink at the same time... Since hitting restriction. That was all before I hit restriction and it was with my center of excellence bariatric surgeon's blessing as there was no pouch and no food to wash through a pouch (i.e, open stomach - no restriction). It was small baby sips of water. This gave me a full feeling on much less food. Worked very well as I lost steadily through bandster hell with little exercise but sticking to the calories.- Just Checked The Scale
uhm congrats but i wouldn't call walking 2 miles 5x a week very little exercise - just sayin' LOL!- Bad Day
you're in bandster hell which you've probably already read about. Mine lasted until my 5th fill or so - about 6 months after surgery. Here's a trick i used to get me through until i had real restriction: I sipped a little water in between bites of food. I'm telling you - the combo of the water and food made me feel FULL - on way less calories. It worked for me - may not for everyone. I told my surgeon all about and basically he said whatever you're doing is working so i'm not going to interfere....- Found A Way To Eat Around The Band
I do not watch carbs,at all I stick to 800 calories per day surgeon recommended 90% of time 130 pounds down in less than 11 months- Tummy Tuck & Breast Reduction 11 Hours Away!!!!
keep us posted on your progress - i am all ears - wanting PS as soon as i can save up - can you post before and after pics at some point too? would love to see it!- Found A Way To Eat Around The Band
even chips won't pass through on me - i'm pretty tight - maybe you need a fill? a little one i mean -- that will stop you on the chips/salsa.- Help Think Ive Got A Problem!
Thats good news! Did the weight gain, occur because of an unfill for surgery? I want the same surgery just curious thaanks!- How Often Do You Eat Socially Now?
Soup and side of mixed fruit are my eat out standbys. I eat out including business lunches all,the time.- Regarding Support Groups
Stick here its the only support I have needed.- Surgery Soon!!!
CONGRATULATIONS - YOU MUST BE SO EXCITED =) - Woohoo I Found A Protein Shake I Like
