  3. Thanks for the reply. That helps alot. What other foods are sliders?
  4. My last fill was on April 17th and I believe I am in the green zone now. Yea! But, I found that I can eat around the band by eating chips and salsa. Not happy. Now that I know I can eat any amount of chips, I have cut myself off. I have little will power when I am hungry.
  5. I am starting my journey over again myself. I have been banded for 4 years now and have gained all my weight back. I went in for a fill last week and was suprised to find out I had only gained 1lb since August. I had no restriction however. I had 4cc in my band and my doctor added 1.5 cc's. This was too much. Couldn't even drink water so went back and he took out .5 cc's. and I am doing great! I'm taking it day by day and I'm so happy at the end of the day when I am on track. I bought the book Weight Loss Surgery Cookbook for Dummies and am finding some really good recipes. Good Luck!
  6. I just joined the Online WW program this morning. I am allowed 25 pts. a day. I will NOT tell anyone on a board that I have the LapBand. Thanks for the insight. I have the tool to feel fuller and now I just need a good tracking system and I hope WW will help.
  7. Same thing happened to me. I had to go in and have all my fluid taken out on July 16th. I didn't want to because I was losing weight but I knew something wasn't right and needed to go. I too felt good instantly. In fact we left for vacation the next day and I was so glad I went in because I would have been miserable as would my husband because it's not fun eating with someone who "does the dance" after one bite. I started eating the easy foods too because it would go down easier but nothing easy is healthy. I go back to the doctor on Friday.
  8. I'm so happy for you! You look wonderful
  9. Dear Dare301obx, Do you have a sample of that diet you could share?
  10. I just had my 3rd fill this morning and am supposed to be on a liqued diet for 48 hours. But, I have a business dinner at a fancy restaurant tonight. Should I just order soup or should I order soup and an entree and pretend to eat it and take it home?
  11. I had the same concerns when I was thinking about the Lapband and am really suprised that I can push the plate away and not feel mad. I think alot of it has to do with the whole process. With each phase you go through your body learns that it is okay not to finish everything on your plate. The whole process is amazing and I have no regrets. I recommend this surgery for anyone that is ready for the commitement.
  12. I'm very excited, I got on the scale today and it said 199! I was getting discouraged because I am losing my weight pretty slowly compared to others who had been banded in February. I started exercising and sticking to just 3 meals a day without snacking and I feel like I'm starting to make some good progress thanks to all of you :wink2:
  13. I had my surgery at 8:00 a.m on Feb. 12th, 2008, and was going to go home that same day but got sick from the Morphine. They ended up switching my meds to something else (can't remember the name) and I chose to stay the night. I was planning on going home the same day of surgery but I'm glad I stayed.
  14. I was banded on Feb. 12th and went on a cruise March 15th. I had a massage with a seaweed wrap where they rub seaweed all over and then a back massage. I told her I had surgery and she didn't seem to concerned at all. Sorry you weren't able to have your planned massage but I hope you had a great time anyway......
  15. I just had my first fill today and I too am nauseated. My doctor said it was normal and I was glad to read your post. I think I'm going to go try and have some yogurt and hopefully feel better tonight. I did just get back from a 10 day cruise and was happy that I didn't gain any weight. I felt like I was eating all the time!! I'm so happy I had this surgery!
  16. Thank you so much! I really learn alot from this site. It is very informative.
  17. A co-worker brought be homemade cookies which I'm sure are not sugar-free and I was wondering what would happen if I ate one? I had my lap-band surgery Feb. 12th, 2008. Thank you....
