  1. Dont be discouraged 13 pounds in 3.5 weeks is awsome thats over a half pound a day!!!! So congrats on that and keep your head up every one is different.
  2. I'm sorry you have a DR that is like that. That is totaly not right I think it may be time to find another DR that is more willing to take care of there patients.
  3. Unfortunatly I have talked to both DR's and trainers and no answeres from them )I think that all think I am nuts and it is all in my head), thats why I thought I would post on here. and yes I am fine with brisk walking its more the ab work out and weight training, and its not that I really get tired just sick, I guess the best way to describe the way it feels is almost like being motion sick. Donna, LOL NOOOOO I most definatly would not be doing anything like that that soon after surgery and I would totaly expect you to yell at me if I had posted something like that.
  4. a bougie is the instament they put in your stomache to guide the staple line and they come in different sizes
  5. Hello all. I was just wondering if any one else has this issue and if there is any thing to do about it? So when I work out I wind up getting sick, like I get super nauseous and light headed and if I don't curl up in a ball and go to sleep I throw up (TMI I?m sorry). I seem okay (don?t need to lie down but still not feeling great) when I just do cardio. When I work on strength training it gets worse and when I do any ab works outs just forget it I am in bed the next few hours. I thought it might be low blood sugar or something so I have tried eating before and after work out plus testing my sugar levels but they were fine (no I am not diabetic and have been tested for that) I also have great blood pressure so I don?t think it is that. My only guess is that I am getting over heated but I don?t see how my abs would affect that. HELP I want to work out but it is hard to motivate your self to do something that you know is going to make you sick.
  6. I hate general makes me thow up which kinda scares me I am trying to talk my dr into using a MAC but I dont think it will work:(
  7. Some PCP's are tottaly against it DONT LET THEM TALK YOU OUT OF IT!!! If they do try to talk you out of it find a seminar and go it by your self I have done all the work with out my PCP, just have the surgen order the tests for you. Good luck keep us posted
  8. good thing you went with the sleeve rather then the band I cant immagin your body trying to spit out the bad OUCH!
  9. I am in the same boat as you I all ready have thin fine hair you can actullly see my scalp. I have used Nioxin before it helped a little but not to much. I am curently taking biotin hopeing to build it up in my system before the surgery and I plan on gettin Nioxin again after the surgery. But I have a feeling I will wind up having to get some wigs( not looking forward to that )good luck
  10. congrats on your date!!! Try not to worry to much. Dymatized elite is my fav you really can not taste the protien in it. Also Isopure RTD will be great for the clear liquids. Sorry I dont know about the rest of the questions as I am still pre op. Good luck keep us posted.
  11. ware did you buy it? in store or online?
  12. you could also try unsweetened almond milk it had less caloirues then skim and it adds a bit of flavor to the skake
  13. You should check with your dr or nut to see what they recomend but on my plan if you cant see through it then you cant drink it on clears so no I cant have protien shakes. but there are web sites that sell protien chicken broth if you feel you cant get your protien in or you could try Isopure. my nut says I have to drink one of the large bottles of that at least every day inorder to get some protien in during that week.
  14. I dont know for sure but from my expeience, most guys that go on any type of "diet" lose quicker the women because of the fact that they have more muscle mass and more muscle means more calories burned.(HOW UN FAIR TO US LADIES):confused1:
  15. I know you will be able to get it to where they want you should also try adding some bananas to your protien shake that way your not really going of you r pre op diet. Good Luck!!
  16. EXCELENT JOB what an inspiration!!!!
  17. You look amazing you have done a wonderfull job and congrats on being 1 pound off of goal!!!!
  18. I dont see why you cant start birthcontrol now my doc said that I never have to stop taking it. I'm sorry for all your temptations just try to keep your mind on your goal when you are around them and if you do happen to gain a little dont be to hard on your slef just gwet back on track when you get home!
  19. The info I got from my dr and nut is that the problem with diet sodas is they have artificial sweetners in them and they slow the fat metabolization in your body
  20. My sergen has his patients take liquid vitamins there is a pharmacy in town that mixes them to the persons needs and suposidly they are supposed to tast good
  21. I see no problem with starting a pre op diet. It helps you get ready for the changes in the way you will be eating after the surgery and the healthier you are the easier the surgery will go. I still have another 3 weeks of Eap sessons before my paper work can even be turned in and I started my diet about a week ago. The only concern that my Doc and his assistant had was since I was so close to a 40 bmi that if I loose any wait I will be below a 40 (which I am now because of the diet) and my insurance requires a 40 or above to cover. but shhhh I am going to follow the advice of a fellow person on this site and drink a bunch of Water before mt next apt and put some heavy stuff in my pockets or some ankle weights. Well good luck :thumbup1:
  22. yeah Deffinatly call your dr and let us know what he says I am kinda curious about that
  23. So I dont know if this is really a NSV since I am still pre op but it feels like one for me, I have tried so many different protien powders inorder to find one that I can actually drink with out it feeling like it will come back up and is still with in my NUts guidelines and this mourning I FINALY DID IT I FOUND ONE THAT IS NOT THAT BAD AND THE NUT IS OKAY WITH YEA!!!!! so I guess persistance does pay off anyway I was so excited I just had to post
  24. OH NO this is the first I have heard of hiccups as a post surgery full sign, I am in so much trouble I get hiccups quite often now and i am not sleeved yet (nothing to do with being full) I cant immagin getting them when ever I eat cuz when I get them they are rough ones and they last for EVER and if I get them one time in a day I will get them 10 more times.....
