  4. I don't see why they would make you fix your knee first.. The way I see it is if you loose weight it will make it easier to heal your knee, and less likely to hurt it again.
  5. I had a similar issue I called every day asking what the progress was and they kept telling me that they were missing papers so I would call the dr and they would fax it over and I would call again the next day and get the same responce for like two weeks but.....I got my call from the dr the other day and I am Approved YEA!!! Now I just have to wait for the rest of my money to get here and I will be making a date hope fully some time in Oct..
  6. Honistly this is a decision you are going to have to dig deep in side your self to make. Personaly I told any one who would listen to me. I would in a large hotel who all love to talk so if I had chosen to only tell one person it would be out all over with in a week anyway! So this way I can answer any questions thay may have before the nasty rumers start. I have found the majority of people to be supportive, I reaaly have not had any one make negative comments. Also in talking to every one I found another peson in my dept that is going in for WLS and have encouraged two more to start the process. Good luck in making you decision and what ever you decided will be the right way to go!
  7. Thats seems like a really handy test result I am going to have to ask my dr if he will let me do that.

  11. So I totaly had some serious munchies, While contimplating eating the chocolate bar that are stored in the locked cabnet in my office right behind my head all day, I looked out and saw the case of mixed nuts. and I thought to my self " Hmm nuts have protien in them they must be a better snack then the chocolate" Well I was wrong After I had about 1 cup of them ( I am still pre op but I know that was still alot) I put them into myfitnesspal and WOW 680 cal amd 60 grams of fat I was floored I had just ruined my whole day with some nuts!!! I should have had the chocolate
  12. what kind of soup has pickles is it????
  13. The requirements some times change with the different companys that you work for. I have Cigna and I had to fill out a packet that they sent me that included a phych eval, two tobaco tests, 5 EAP sessions, could not have gained 20% of the weight in the past year, but I did not have to do a supervised diet YEA!! So I would recomend talking to your surgens staff thayhave the most experience with the insurance companys. Good Luck!

  22. I am totaly feeling your pain!!! I am on the Pre pre op diet and am finding even 1200 cal a day a strugle because I am a chef so I am surounded my food all day long and am actually required to try some of the food before it leaves my kitchen, in the past if I really like it I would turn around and get my self a plate of it now I can onlyl have that one bite and add that one bite to my cal count :'( Oh well we can do it we just have to keep in mind the final goal, But I do find that the longer you do it the easier it gets:) Good luck
