  1. I hope everyone has a good week and reaches some mini-goals. It is a hard journey at times and those mini-goals can really be encouraging.
  2. Beef has been hard for me until maybe a month ago. Just keep with what sits well for u and dont push anything. I always try to under eat and take it easy. For me that has worked
  3. K well, i didn't eat the whole cheese burger. Lol, i ate half, and only the meat and toppings. Not the bun. My second oldest and i went to Nic's Grill in OKC it was features on "Dinner, Drive-in's, and Dives" it was good, and i could have eaten the bread if i had desired, funny thing is i didnt really care. So, what is my point? Well, yes there does come a time after surgery when u really can eat whatever u want. Both physically and mentally. Its a great place to be. Notice however i mentioned this was my 1st burger. 10 months out and 12lbs below goal. So, i read a post here and there where someone is saddened that they cant eat this or that at 5, 10, 12 weeks out. My thoughts on this are (no i dont think i am an expert or know everyones circumstances) we made a choice to force a change into our lives. Sticking to a healthy eating plan should be a given! Why try to eat burgers and queso and cake and all that when u have not made goal, this tool is amazing, it works. And it works even better if we are focused and diligent. Did i cheat here and there? Heck yes, margaritas are a weakness but if I paid for it in a stall, or a pain in the gut, i understood why and how to correct it. Now, here i am fighting the old demons as i order my with splenda! Did i mention im 12lbs below goal? I run 3 miles 3 times a week an 10 miles on saturday, the truth is i can eat whatever i want now. And mostly what i want is good clean fuel for this new amazing body i woke up in!! You can get there, you can find that place where u can eat whatever, just in smaller portions. But it takes some time and work. It takes remembering that nothing tastes as good as thin. I know this isnt as feel good as my normal encouragent post. I mean for it to be, i also mean for it to be a positive way to view where your headed and motivation to stay the course. If your just starting out push forward dont give up, refocus when u lose track and fight for the beat version of you to crawl out of your old self! GodSpeed Pasquini

  7. My son (14) on seeing me come to the pool with out a shirt for the first time. He stops and stares and I cringe inside, then he says, "ok Dad, 1st, you have lost ALOT of weight!, 2nd, you look great!!! And then he smile this goofy im proud o my dad smile.
  8. I wasnt given a goal. I pick 170 out of the air (i was 220 at 16 an 2 inches shorter). I made 170 in dec, and decided id readjust to 160 since that would put me 4 lbs inside normal bmi. Im 158 now and shocked, amazed, and still cant call myself thin. Lol. U'll get there, stay focused eat clean and move move move.
  9. About a year ago Living my dreams
  10. Well, i know we all enjoy the new found attention. Its just so differant for me having never been thin before. No i dont have to beat anyone off with a stick, lol. I do have more options but there is no beating back hordes. Yup love the mirror now haha. Oh the vanity!

  12. Yup, kinda become a regular thing. *huge adorable grin* everytime I notice some woman check me out or do a double take and smile or turn red when I catch her looking and look right in her eyes. I get this goofy grin. I have to admit its the best feeling! That is all for now Pasquini
  13. Thx again everyone. It is so amazing. I am actually trying to increase my calories so i can stop losing!!!! Never thought id sat that!
  14. are you still taking prilosec or something like it? I tried to stop last month at 7 months and promptly started right back up.
  15. So I made it to the goal of 170 back in december. Which put me at a 25.8 bmi. I flirted with resetting my goal since 164 supposedly puts me at below 25, then thought maybe 160 that way I have 4 lbs room between me and overweight. I have been half heartedly trying. I mean I run 3 days a week 3 miles 2 days then 4-6 on saturday (I ran 10 today my eating has been ok but not hypervigilent like I have allowed myself a bit of bread or tortillia here and there. so I have gotten down to 166 and then back to 170 back and forth. so today I thought, I have been eating better and maybe i'm actually back to 166, hoping to see 165 on the scale and thus being one more lb toward normal weight range. Standing on the scale waiting for the digital numbers to appear I prepared myself to see 168 or 169 and hoped for 166 and dreamed for 165. There on the scale appeared 162!!!!! 162!!!!! wait let me just say 162!!!!!! *huge crazy grin* Rocky theme blasting in my head as imaginary streamers fall from the ceiling. 2 lbs below the normal range threshold!!!!! honestly I can't say anything else because I am having a very hard time even discribing how I am feeling just yet. That is 149lbs lost from my heaviest. 111lbs since surgery may 10th of last year; 8 months and 4 days 8 lbs below a goal I picked out of the air, thinking there was no way i'd ever reach it, and 2 lbs below overweight range. 33rd precentile for my height that mean 67 percent of people my height are heavier than me! thank you that is all Pasquini
