  2. I also work 12's ad an rn. I was off 15 days post op. I work ob/nicu & don't have much lifting so that made it easier to go back. But I did have a ton of walking. It wasn't to bad after 2 wks off. A couple of other nurses @ my hosp also have had it done & they came back @ 2 wks but with lifting restrictions.
  3. No not my age... My weight loss! After a slow loss for about a month and a half I got a fill and bam! Down 6 lbs since tues Finally hit a huge milestone... Halfway to my goal!
  4. Do u have any papya enxyme? It.works great.for "unsticking" things?!
  5. I couldn't stand the liquid vit so I did the chewable ones for a while. I just switched to the nature made gel tab vit. They.r large but they go down... I can't stand reg pill vit the smell makes me gag & dry heave. I did gummies before being banded but Im scared they'll get stuck now...

  7. Well I am not one of those 3 bites & I am done people! So I am right there with u . I just try to think back & realize before I could eat a 16 oz steak baked potatoe veggie & a piece of bread. Now I eat a side salad 4 to 5 oz chicken breast & a veggie... Yeqh that may be more than other people but its a huge improvement & I am.steadily loosing weight! U can't conpare urself to others all the time
  8. Oh I feel for all of u hungry people! I am 5 mo out so I can tell u it dies get better . I was starving on day 5 post op. Like gonna loose my mind & be committed starving! I cheated & ate runny mashed potatoes for 2 days until I.saw my doc & he said I could officially advance to mushies. I would say by about day 18 or so I was pretty much back on a reg diet & I had to wait a month for.my first fill. Looking back it doesn't seem so bad.... However @ the time it was truely hell! I cleared out my fridge & cupboads before surgery so I wouldn't have ne temptation... My poor hubby had a rough couple of wks too! Lol
  9. I feel ur pain! I to have been stuck @ 240.2 since the first part of the month . I went & got a fill yest b/c my doc says if u don't loose for 4 wks straight it's prob time for a fill.... Hoping it helps me.
  10. By day 5 I was so hungry my dog started looking tastey. I sat in the shower & cried for about an hr... Then my husband made me some runnie mashed potatoes. I needed to keep my sanity! My doc let me ne on mushies @ 1 wk though. Hang in there in a few months u'll be looking back thinkin wow!
  11. I was banded April 6th, so about 1 month ahead of you and I am only down 43 lbs. They say it's all about getting to that sweet spot. Also do you exercise? I am just getting more active and now I've hit a platue People tell me it's muscle gain but either way it's frustrating! Hang in there!

How is it that I can loose 43 lbs & only go dwn 2 pants sizes I am very frustrated b/c my size 24s r way to big size 22 r big but comfy however when I went ti get a new pair of jeans size 20 is kinda tight! Wtf! I know I should be happy with the decrease but it just feels like I am working my ass off & not seeing as big of nsv's I expected... Uhg what I would give to b in the teens again Hopefully my fill tues helps.
  13. I to miss beer deary Tried to drink one a couple of months back & half way thru I felt like I had ate a loaf of bread!
  14. By 10~14 days I felt pretty good. I was banded in April. I know I felt a ton better when I was able to progress my diet & was taking in some solid, well mushi, calories. I was only mushies by day 7.
  15. That is y they have u take ur undies off for surgery.... B/c most prople do pee themselves in surgery. No worries
  16. I was taking regular pills again, including metformin which is very large, by 5 days post op.
  17. If your diet has progressed it should be much easier... Wendy's: their chili is delicious they have good salads but watch the calories!... Quiznos: sorry no help have never been a huge fan I guess you could try Soup...McDonalds: I get a chicken nuggett happy meal with apples or their salads are good (grilled chicken of course!)... Local diner: I get grilled chicken or hamburgers minus the bread a lot ask for a side of veggies rather than fries... Pizza: somedays I can do thin crust. Hope this gives u a few ideas.
  18. I have.to get my calorie.intake down to 800 to steadily loose weight.
  19. I give myself a cheat day every once in a while. U have to.to stay sane! I also love doughnuts but only allow it on the day I go in for a fill, my doc is 2 and a half hrs away do I eat one on the way

  22. I also get it ... When I eat to fast or.get to hungry. Feels like someone stabbed a knife into my left shoulder
  23. Oh I remember those days... I was ready to eat my dog on day 57 it was tough but well worth it. I don't think I really understood whst kind of decision I had made to change my life until I syrvived those first few weeks! It takes huge amts of willpower!
  24. Trust me one bite,to many is to much!
