  1. I would wait. Plus u don't want an obgyn doing a tummy tuck! Not to mentiom if u r having a vaginal hysterectomy there wont b an abdominal incision. U could also have a laproscopic hysterectomy & those incisions wouldnt b appropriate for a tummy tuck.
  2. I waz a huge beer lover but since being banded I haven't had any. I have now switched to vodka water & I bring my own crystal light to the bar to mux in it. Yummy & only 75 calories!
  3. IS it possible that u had polycystic ovarian syndrom? If so the weight loss often cause u to actually ovulate more often. ovulation cramping can b the worst!
  4. GO to barnes & nobel... Browse the books & mags. That place always makes feel like I gotta poo! Lol
  5. I am scale obsessed to I did good the first couple of weeks... But now I weigh daily. I am super obsessed I have a body bugg that tells me my daily calorie burn, I track my food religiously... Then I flowsheet record my intake, burn, & defict daily and average them weekly! Yikes writing that down makes me realize how crazy I am.
  6. 5 lbs is great! Hang in there I know it's frustrating. I seem to loose great.for a week or two & then nothing for a week or two... It all evens out. Be aware that when u start solids ur weight will prob stall if not go up. That can b super depressing.
  7. I luv luv luv Jimmy John's unwhiches! Ditch the mayo & it's very easy to get one less than 300 cal. Otherwise I have become a kids meal kind of person The other day I ordered a regular size meal & couldn't more than half.
  8. I work nights so eating is all screwy! after I woke up I had a grilled 4 oz hamburger with a side of cauliflower. Ate 14 tortia chips for a snack around 11:30 pm, we were crazy busy @ work so I grabbed somethinf quick to kewp me going. @ 3:30 am I had a 6 oz grilled chicken breast & a cup if grilled veggies, zucchini squash mushrooms green peppers & tomatoes. I dont have much restriction currently, I am going for my second fill on the 21st.
  9. It took me 2 months & an 18 day plataue to get myself motivated. & it jumpstarted my weight loss big time! Granted this just occurred last week so I hope I stay motivated! Lol
  10. Do u have any history of blood sugar problems? If so r u on any oral diabetic meds? I get wicked headaches if my blood sugar is low. Especially post op because I wasnt eating much. I had to go off my metformin for almost 2 mo post op, I just restarted it. Could it also b caffine related? I have been known to take ibuprofen for head aches tylenol wont fix, but not very oftern because it can cause ulcers. If I take it I eat with it.
  11. I am happy to report that I have finally won the battle! After 18 days of no loss the weight is starting to come off again 5 LBS in 5 days so far! I am really close to my birthday goal, 4.4 lbs shy, but my bday is tomorrow. I'd b happy even if I made my goal during my,birthday week Some of u may b wondering how I beat my plataue... I cut my cals big time! I noticed I was creaping up to around 1600 cal recently, I cut back to 800~1000. I also got my lazy rear to the gym! If there is anything I've learned in the past 2 mo it's this: it's all about the food! Lol Calories in/calores out! I lost 27 lbs without stepping foot in a gym... Now my wt loss is kick started again,& exercise is helping it come even quicker! I'm super happy right now even though I realize that sooner or later I will probably plataue again, this seems to b my pattern of weight loss.
  12. While I have not experienced this my cousin has & I know she to is struggling with wt gain I think u almost have to give urself a lil mental "check" and tell urself u r going to recommit & that it is worth it! Don't beat urself up to bad about the weight gain. Remember that u have kept 30 lbs off! Way to go! R u still tracking ur food? If not start. R u exercisin? If not start. I hope the fill helps u...
  13. I feel ur pain... I've been stuck @ the same weight for 18 days! It can be very frustrating. I just hope it's over soon.
  14. Thanks everyone for the encouragement! I know exercise is where I am lacking greatly... I work 12 hr night shift 3 nights a week and I am going back to school full time, going 2 nights a week. I need to just scheduel myself to go into the gym like I scheduel everything else in my life! lol I have been seriously contemplating getting back on the personal trainer bandwagon, then I have to show up. I am going to try to work really hard on cutting out the fast food as well as staying away from the cafeteria at work. There is one support group in my town it meets every other week on Tues and I almost always work tues But I will try my hardest to get to one! Thanks again everyone, sometimes I just need to hear it from fellow bandsters! lol
  15. I luv to bike In my prime I did bike ride across nebraska, 510 miles! I'd luv to b back in that shape again! Lol
  16. Cottage cheese & scrambled eggs were my main stay!
  17. I am super frustrated & feeling like a failure Every day people ask me "so how much have u lost now?" & I tell them oh I' ve kinda stalled I think I need to pay closer attn to my portions & actually weigh my food. I must be under estimating my calories b/c according to my journel & body bugg I always have a signifigant cal deficit. I need to break back out of the fast food habit to... Such a hard one to break! Just feeling really down today...
  18. Eeek! Not good at all! I agree with Jess55 sounds like blood, all of the gi bleeds I've seen as a nurse people throw up black liquid. Call your doc ASAP, even though it's a holiday. This is not something you want to sit on... Please update us and let us know if your okay and what you doc says.
  19. Well put! That is exactly where I was coming from with my first reply.
  20. Sorry 1600 is my average deficit. I burn usually 2700-3000 cal daily.
  21. If your looking for a quick fix this isn't it... sorry to break it to you. Lap band isn't going to fix all of your problems with obesity. It's major surgery and you will have pain and there are complications. Have you told your doctor your looking for a "quick fix"? What does he/she say? I made the decision to get lap band in October 10 was banded 4/6/11, which is pretty quick considering I got insurance approval in that time. I don't think I really realized the seriousness of the surgery and I've had to learn post op... mind you I don't regret surgery at all! I put in 10 times as much effort now as I ever did preop! I have to work really hard. I watch everything I eat, calorie count, monitor my calorie output daily, I am not so great at the exercise thing but I realize I would have better results if I improved that area as well. If your not prepared for some pain and struggle, not to mention put in a lot of effort I would recommend that you think really hard about what you are about to do. Now me... I didn't realize how much work it would be at first but I am totally committed now. This could be the thing you need to give yourself some accountability and "force" you into becoming a healthier you. Best of luck coming up with your decision!
  22. That's great! It always feels good to know people can tell your hard work is paying off!
