  1. I truely wait 1 to 2 between each bite. Easier when eating alone. I know I've ate to much if i get a sharp pain in my left shoulder.
  2. You look absolutely amazing! Way to go!
  3. Just a lil fyi greasy food will go through you quite quick after gallbladder removal! Be close to a bathroom.
  4. Hot and sour soup is still a mainstay in my diet 10 months later. I also love avocados & when i crave pizzai make on on a small flour tortilla shell. Oh & cottage cheese!
  5. Congrats! Welcome to the club Hope the pain gets better soon.
  6. I'm all about the calories. I was super tight & lived on 600 a day for about 5 months. I dropped a ton of weight but i wouldn't recommend people to do that! Im now ave 1000~1200 per day & exercising more. My body is still adjusting to the cal increase so I'm not loosing but I feel better & my energy is up.
  7. I find I get a sharp left side shoulder pain when I over eat. I'm guessing that over eating caused your pain.
  8. Sounds like you need a fill under fluoroscopy, xray, to me.
  9. I'm taking it week by week right now. I am trying to learn to allow myself to eat appropriatly. I bought a pair of size 14 jeans today though! Also I am able to get in good workouts at the gym now that I am actually eating.
  10. Way to go! That is awsome! I went to the store today to buy a pair of "motivation jeans", I've been stalled out this month, and I ended up buying a pair in my "motivation size" that FITS perfect! 10 months ago I was in a size 26, now a size 14!!! Doesn't it feel great! As for the body issues, my arms are my big insecurity. I am now looking into having them done. It's hard to come so far and then to see the residuel effects of not taking care of ourselves But these are our battle wounds.
  11. Don't give up on the gym. You will start to loose again & it is worth it. When we change things up it takes our bodies a couple of weeks to get on board.
  12. I work 12 hr night shifts, 2 days a week now. I can't seem to gather the strength to workout on the days where i worked the night before & have to go back. I usually go on my days off. It's hard to start a workout routine but after a few weeks you start to get into a groove.
  13. I am 30 lbs below my dl weight! Started 60 lbs over!
  14. 94 lbs in 10 months for me. But i recently had an unfill & I've gained 5 back.
  15. My first goal was to get below 253. That was the lowest i could get with diet & exercise.
  16. My first goal was to get below 253. That was the lowest i could get with di
  17. Sooo here i am a week and a half later. Up 5 lbs and frustrated. I am hungry a lot and feel as though my restriction is much less than i want. I am calling my doctor tomorrow & making an appt for a refill. Hoping. 5 mls will be the magic #!
  18. Thank you everyone for all of the positive reassurance! I haven't lost or gained this week... but that is kinda dissappointing b/c I really wanted to hit 100 lbs on my 10 month anniversary Feb 6th, I'm @ 94 lbs. But it's not the end of the world! lol. I'm working out more and I'm sure my body is in a bit of confusion with more food in and more exercise. I'm going to give it two weeks and if I feel like I'm slipping I'll go back and have him put some back in. I am trying to focus hard on my food choices and keep active! Everyone keep up the great work!!!! We will win this battle with obesity!
  19. So 2 days ago I went into my doctor for my second unfill. I had .5 removed on Oct 28th. I have lost 29 lbs since that unfill but I was still having a lot of trouble with solid foods. I was only able to eat solidd food every 3-7 days. So my doctor ended up taking another 1 ml out & I can def tell a differnce! The past few months I had been ave 600-800 cals/day, the past 2 days I've been eating 1000-1200. This terrifies me!I am so scared I'm goingt to gain weight. I know I need to eat more so I can start working out more but it's very hard for me to realize I'm eating more. I actually have an appetite, something I haven't had in several months. I suppose I'll give it a couple of Weeks & if I gain I'll have to go back & get tightened back up. My husband was stunned tonight when we went out to dinner & I ate an entire meal without once getting stuck & having to go to the restroom & throw up. I guess I'm just very nervous about loosing my control over food.
  20. I'm coming up on 10 months banded, April 2011, & I'm down 94 lbs! I love what my band has done for me, although @ times I get ubber frustrated with it. I have had my share of problems with bulemia/anorexia since being banded but it is getting much better. People ask me if I miss food.... I really don't miss the way I used to eat. I feel like a whole new person now! Soooooo happy
  21. I love my new wardrobe! I weigh less than my husband That people in my life who haven't seen me in a while don't recognize me.
  22. I am not quite to 100, 91 lbs lost since April 2011. I ave 10lbs a month. The main thing for me is food! I eat a lot.of chicken, avacados, & cottage cheese. I'm not so great with working out, I go 2 a week is all. For me accountability is.key. I meet once a month with a healthy lifestyle coach & check my bmi, fat mass, muscle mass ect. As well.as tracking my food.& I see a theraist. I am hoping to hit 100 lbs lost next month. I started @284 & I am currently 193!
  23. I would have to say I've encountered quite a few negatives, but I don't regret it at all! My negatives would be suffering from bulemia/anoxeria, for which I am working very hard on it and I assure I am making progress. I also miss being able to eat quick when I'm in a rush. Especially being a nurse at a hospital, I often find myself taking a bite, running to take care of a patient, and then running for another bite. I find it hard to go out to dinner with friends b/c it takes me so long to eat, my husband as adjusted to it though lol. I hate the days that nothing seems to stay down. I hate that it feels like every person watches how much I eat and how often I go to the bathroom while I eat.
  24. 54Shirley This breaks my heart yet provides me some comfort @ the same time, does that make sense? My mom was loosing her ability to do the things she loved, knitting, quilting, writing, living on her own. She always told me she wanted to live not just be alive. Her death makes me sad but the realization the she is no longer in pain or suffering helps me find peace. I am so sorry to hear your husband is suffering so much. It must be so difficult to face each day feeling that way. I will pray for you both tonight.
  25. I reay wanted onederland for Christmas, but of course on Christmas I weighed 200.0! So come Wed, the 28th, I step on the scale & bam welcome to onderland. So u may be asking why is this not wonderful?... Well wed happened to be the day of my mother's funeral. After being diagnosed with kidney cancer in sept. my mom went into surgery to have her kidney removed on the 20th. She never recovered from the surgery & I removed her from life support on Thurs the 22nd On top of all that on Tues, Dec 27th, I lost a good friend. He died from sepsis, a blood infection, unexpectedly. He was only 35 y/o and had a wife & 3 y/o daughter So it has been a rough week, to say the least. But hey I now weigh 197.2!!!!!!!
