My First Post, Post-Op!

Had surgery yesterday, everything went great, ended up not even having to spend the night in the hospital! I'm in a lot of pain but this too shall pass! And idk how any of y'all woke up hungry because I feel no hunger whatsoever! Just pretty thirsty but I get pains in my tummy when I drink..so just taking the liquids slow also..

Congrats on a safe surgery! Glad everything went well! I was not hungry at all at first and I have lost 22 pounds since 1/19. This is the best thing I have done for myself!

Congrats! Welcome to the club :) Hope the pain gets better soon.

I was banded on 12/22, I was not hungry for 2-3 days after surgery, then I was satisfied with just some chicken broth (warm was so soothing!) for about another 2 days. Then after that, my hunger started returning but I was satisfied with having a protein shake. My real hunger didnt fully return until about week 2, then it was HOLY COW, I needed food! haha. Dont be upset if you gain a couple of pounds before your first fill, this is totally normal. I gained 5 lbs before my first fill, but since I had my fill on Monday, I have already lost 2 lbs.

Just make sure to get up and walk alot, that helps both the pain and the gas

Hi im Mandy i just got banded yesterday a little painful and some discomfort. I find myself to be a tiny bit hungry. But nothing that cant be fixed by some clear liquids.crystal light, water, hot tea and veggie broth .I remain optimistic in my journey i think that is the key to success. I am gassy but thats nothing new lol. Im relying on this forum for ideas and others experiences to keep me positive..until next time Mandy from NY banded 2/15/2012
