  1. Hello!!!! I am looking for a workout partner that I can count on to be at the gym and someone just to motivate me. I attend LA Fitness in Laveen, AZ......
  2. The last time I went hiking (at north mtn) with my BFF, I could barely make it up the rocks. Well, I would make it to the top of the rocks and nothing further. I was always left behind! Today, I left Sarah and John behind! I was in front this time. I made it to the very top of the mountain! I'm so proud of myself!! I can't wait to see what the end result will be when I'm down 50 more pounds! I'm down 23 pounds and truly feeling great!! Hiking made me feel even better!!! Day 6 of Insanity later today!
  3. Hi! I'm sorry. I'm just reading this! I'm doing well! I'm on day 3 of insanity and it's kicking my butt!!! I definitely need a challenge though. I'm not having nausea. I wonder what it could be???? Any ideas?
  4. Have you tried Insanity or p90x??? I know both of those kick my butt!!!!
  5. Good for you!!!!! I never used to like the gym. That was 3 yrs ago. It takes my stress away. The hard part at times, is finding the motivation to go. I was banded on 4/21 and down 23 pounds!!!! I'm so happy you're doing so great!!! Keep it up!
  6. Well, I've been having this horrible pain in my shoulder that makes my left arm extremely weak, and at this point I don't think it's gas (banded 4/21/11). I called my doctor and he put me back on fluids only. This is gonna be bad and I'm so discouraged right now........just asking for good vibes and words of encouragement sent my way please!!!!! thank you in advance
  7. You're so welcome!!! Protein shakes are so hard to stomach for me, even herbalife! I think I'm just so tired of them. I bought the special k ones, but they are loaded with sugar (18g). I was told ensure is the best. I don't know how they taste though. I'm on musies now and have been eating salsa that I've made. I'm trying to get as much protein in as possible though. I know your hair can fall out if you don't get at least 60g of it daily. How are you feeling??? I'm still in lots of pain and I become extremely tired very quickly.
  8. Hi!!! I was just banded, but even when I was thin I had body image issues. My manager lost over 100 pounds and told me that it takes a while for it to set in that you're not longer heavy....I would think maybe pulling out a before and after pic to look at??? Might make you feel a litte different. Good luck and congrats on 80 pounds!!!!
  9. Hi!!! I was banded on the same day and I called my doctor Tuesday to see if I could eat mushies and they told me absolutely not. They also told me that my band does have some fluid in it and that I could really hurt myself. I know every doctor is different, but I'm almost afraid to put something solid in my stomach (even though I'm hating this stage)....I would take it slow and just be careful

I feel the exact same way!!!! It's awful! I just want to feel back to normal. I feel so exhausted after just doing a little bit. I hope you feel better soon.
  11. Can I eat mac n cheese as mushies????
  12. Hello!!! I'm so sorry for your loss!! I lost my mom when I was 16 and my dad when I was 22. I love exercising! I have a best friend that motivates me when I really don't want to get up. She is awesome!!! Exercising clears my head and I have so much more energy after I get done. I would suggest finding a partner to work out with. They say you actually lose more weight when you have a partner. I also love to hike. It's a lot easier on my knee than running. (i fell on it in aug)...I haven't started exercising yet again, because I was I was banded on 4/21/11....Apparently, I have to wait 2 wks before I can start. I'm miserable, but hopefully it will pass. Good luck on working out. I think you'll find to love it!!
  13. That is pretty scary, but there has to be a reason these people have died. I know like 6 people that have lapband and haven't had any complications, but there is one person (i don't personaly know) that ended up with some type of infection and had to have her band taken out. According to my doctor, there is no infection that the band can cause... Her stomach also "almost" exploded due to her going to a party and eating WAY TOO MUCH food. She should have known better. Again, I definitely think there is a reason these people died. Good luck
  14. Hello everyone!!! I'm 5 days post op and have been miserable! Besides the gas, I've been really light headed, dizzy, and feeling very weak. I know it's a huge adjustment from the way I used to eat before, but is this normal??? I've lost 9 pounds since Thurs, but I have been trying to drink my protein drinks and all the other stuff you're supposed to drink in the first week. I just don't know what to do at this point. I'm almost asking myself why I did this.....
