A little NSV - I said no!
I'm Not banded yet but am trying to get good habits in. I would have also taken just one bite to savor the flavor and not feel deprived... But then I would have stuck my napkin in it or had them take it away so I wouldn't be tempted. I find that this works for me.

Ooooooooo I have pants from HS that are size 16 that I can slim into. Ive been big for so long that I thought I only had size 18,20,22 in my closet. ( And super stretchy "don't really have a size because it can fit 4 people if they hug enough pants & skirts.) I can't wait!!

Anybody ever get stuck WITHOUT a band?
Me too. Happens alot with rice, pasta, bread, dry meat. Terrible pressure in chest, painful, can't breathe. A drink forces it down.....BUT since planning for the band I take smaller bites, chew like bananas, and take my time (all in good practice for the band) and it has never... Never... Happened again. *raising hand* It was me all along. I hope you find some resolution. Best of luck friend!

Emotional & goodbyes
Your post sounds like an excerpt from my own personal diary. At the mention of cartigans I bursted into tears. Cardigans are sadly my trademark. It's everyones joke to play where's Waldo on me to see if anyone can spot me without one. Im still hidden. Can I tell you how exited I am for you right now?! Yes goodbye to the old but HELLO to the new! Beaches, trips, true compliments, sexiness, health, happiness, new experiences, new adventures, feeling proud and accomplished and to top it off the fact that this will be your new life. Everyday. Filled with these great moments! I can't wait to be 12 hours away from my surgery. Correction- even better- I can't wait to see how we will be 12 months after!! ) best of luck!!!! ((((hugs)))!

I completely agree with the DaChangingQueen. Dr Tiffany Jessee takes really great care of patients. I will be one of 8 people at my job who either started and stayed with her... or switched from their other doctors to go to her. She would be my suggestion for you. I hear nothing but fantastic things about her and her team. Good luck!- Anyone banded by Dr. Tiffany Jessee-Tampa bay area
I also went to her seminar but I chose her specifically because about 7 women at my job have all either gotten banded with her or after getting banded with a different doctor, LEFT their doctor to go to her. All I hear are fantastic things about her from the way she cares before, during, and after (as long as you need after as a mater of fact). Those who did not go to her said they had complications or were having trouble losing weight with their other doctor. They changed to her practice and she made some adjustments, some recommendations, and now no more complications - and they are ALL losing much better than they were before. I hear she is very determined and agressive at seeing success with her patients but always puts safety first. I made my choice on doctor....now im just waiting on insurance. (Her team is keeping me well informed every step of the way) )- Anyone banded by Dr. Tiffany Jessee--Tampa Bay area
How did your surgery go?! Im so happy for you. I am going to dr Tiffany Jessee as well. Could you please tell me about your experiences and how it went for you?? What I can expect? and most importantly how are YOU doing?- Howdy Do!
Thank You!!! Ditto of course!! I went to the seminar on Monday and all went very well. I even watched a fill live and am rearing to go. The Suncoast Bariatric seminar brought 2 people to answer questions from experience (band patients) and it turns out that one guy came on his own to support his employee... he too has been banded and is very successful. It was hilarious to know I also went to school with his lovely girlfriend. Such a small world! It seems the band is everywhere I look now and it seems that Although there are still the "negative nellies" out there... I feel that the success and great life changing stories still outweigh the negative. (usually the negative are patient caused, poor after care, or bad doctor... or combo) Im just going to have to do and tell. I've been thinking about doing a youtube video blog 1-2 times a month so that when people like myself are wanting to follow someones experiences... there is one more story to find. (There are so few out there that keep up with regular videos. Usually there are before and after, which are great.... but I wish I knew more about LapLiving so I can learn from experiences and avoid mistakes) I pray Insurance a speedy response and that everything gets moving!!! I've researched, thought long and hard, listened to other people's opinions after they thought long and hard too, and finally came to the conclusion that good and bad was always ment with love and concern. My mind has been made ..... so GO GO GO... cause Im ready!- Second guessing myself!!
Your very inspirational. Those questions are exactly what runs through my mind.. So true. What if I could finally be proud of my body and health? Its hard to imagine... like a dream right now. One I intend to make come true. Can I get an AMEN?!?!?- Second guessing myself!!
I Love your friend. I cried reading it. I dont have a date yet but when that day comes... if I find myself wondering.... Im going to read this one over and over. Thank you for sharing that with us.- True Results - Houston (Dr. Reilly)
GOOD LUCK MONDAY!!! Wishing you the Best! Im so excited for you!!! I dont even know you but I am excited none the less!!- Howdy Do!
I am extremely excited about the band! I recently learned about it by a friends success. She has lost 80+ lbs and glows from happiness. I had a million questions for her and found out that several of our coworkers were also banded and are being very successful. I have my Seminar with Dr. Tiffany Jessee of Tampa/Clearwater, Florida. She is the Doctor I want to have my band done with. (ALL of the people I personally know either went to her, or left their other doctor to go to her.. so I feel really good about it. My Seminar is on Monday April 11th and I am going to be Pushing paperwork like a mad woman to get underway asap. I want my new life to begin yesterday! Reading all the forums.. I understand it will be hard, its not a cure its a tool.... a very good tool... and that every bit of trouble seems to always have an agreement that it is worth it in the end. Good Health, Feeling good about yourself, and being able to live life to its fullest again is ALWAYS worth it for me... Im Ready!!! Lets Go!!! ........ Im pacing for monday.... sheesh! .... where did I put that time machine?? - Now FloridaMomof4
