it's definelty a learning experience. i'm almost a year out and some days get stuck on foods i was able to eat the day before. so just be mindful that with certain foods you just may never know till you eat them since our band can be effected by the weather, TOM , stress etc. best wishes

congrats on your lost thus far. in one week i will be one year post op. it has been an interesting journey to say the least, but i would do it again in a heart beat. happy mothers day to you

dont be discouraged. this is a slow proceess. i know you want it to happen like right now..(and trust me we all do), but it's gonna take some time before you get to good restriction and for your body to adjust. i am a slow loser, but be patient and faithful to your journey...make sure you're working out and doing your part and it will happen. you can do this..we are right here with you

i add peanut butter to my shakes to add extra protein and change the taste. congrats on your first week!!!

if your fill is done under fluro...nothing to be worried about. my doc numbs the area with a quick pinch and then the fill takes less that 3 minutes total..piece of cake compared to the surgery. i just can never watch that big needle or i might pass out.lol

i have a physcial job and i had surgery on a wed and returned to work the following thurs.

pink.....i dont really think i have any secrets. i probably am not the best bandster when it comes to eating...but i can say i stuck with the gym 4 days a week consistently. i have a personal trainer i see twice a week. recently when i felt stalled..i increased my protein and started more interval training. i also started(just today) a program called supreme 90(bootleg p 90x), so we'll see where this takes me.

glad i read your post. i recently traveled in a car for a long period and couldnt figure out why my band was soooooooo tight! hmmmm i'm learning more and more every day. thanks

my doc had me come in 4 weeks after surgery for my fill and then it was up to me. does your surgeon have a protocol?

i havent had any other surgery since my band, but i did get a throat infection..it made my band tight. i tried to wait 3 weeks but it never loosened up. i had to go in for a slight unfill. not sure where you live, but are there no places near you that you can go. i dont get why this happens, but it seems when we get sick our band tightens. i would get an unfill especially since you cant get down liquids for you are in danger of getting dehydrated and end up with even more severe problems. best wishes, please go see a doctor soon. keep us posted

i'm having the same problem and i am tryn to up my protein intake and switch up my exercise, by doing interval training for cardio..we'll see if this helps

phatkat....i'm with you girl only mines has been stalled for about a month...my goal is a size 12 top and bottom..ok got the top part...me and these hips and butt is another story ugh!!! bought some 12 skinny jeans and squeezed in them..bought some regular 12 jeans and couldnt get past my thighs! wth!!!! ugh!!! so depressed and scared i wont make my goal in a month..i can do a 12 dress...but i wanna get in dem jeans...ugh!!! maybe my new goal should be to hit 50 pounds by then, that's another 10 pounds by may 20th..not sure which goal is more feasible..
s/n. has anyone tried protein shots. i got some today that are 45 gm of protein..really tryn to find ways to boost my protein

have you tried increasing your protein intake? also are you batteling head hunger. i know at some point all of us do. when i went thru that i made myself drink a full bottle of water before i went to eat something and 9 times out of 10 the hunger went away and i was just thristy..just a thought
