One year ago today I decided that if I wanted to get to see My Gramma years and meet any Grandchildren I am destined to have that I needed to lose weight or I wasn't going to get to meet them when ever it is they are born. There is so much I want to do with them and I have so much to teach them. I knew I had to make a conscience choice to take control of my weight/ health. So I started out on my weight loss journey. I have lost 46 pounds in a year. I had lap band surgery January 19th and I lost 29 pounds since then. The rest was pre-op. I am confident that this has gone the best way possible. My weight loss has been constant, but gradual. I think it is best to lose gradual. I am happy and looking forward to a great year! Happy Mother's day to all!!!

Congratulations to you, my story is similar to yours. I wanted to be healthier and live like my mother to be healthy enough and grow old to watch my children, grand children and great grand children to grow up. I am fortunate to still have my mother who is 85 and healthy, if I can be half the women she has been and live to her age in good health it will be a blessing. As Jennifer said, this has been a journey, a life changing experience, that I am not sure any of us knew exactly how difficult it would really be. I would do it again tomorrow but am so glad that I finally woke up a year and a half ago and decided to make this change in my life. This journey is not without trails and tribulations but if you are willing to work hard, change your habits and develop health alternatives your dreams are possible. Happy Mother's Day to you and I hope you have continued success.
