Not Sure What Hapening Any One Else Like Me

i havent had any other surgery since my band, but i did get a throat infection..it made my band tight. i tried to wait 3 weeks but it never loosened up. i had to go in for a slight unfill. not sure where you live, but are there no places near you that you can go. i dont get why this happens, but it seems when we get sick our band tightens. i would get an unfill especially since you cant get down liquids for you are in danger of getting dehydrated and end up with even more severe problems. best wishes, please go see a doctor soon. keep us posted

Thank you so Much, My husband is going to drive me today to Tijuana and get unfill. Hopefully it will help. its like roller coaster but I am happy to be light I lost 45 lb from 185 to 140 My ideal weight .... Thanks

I have had to fill and unfill my band and I've had it for 4 years as of this summer. You can be at 4cc for a year, and then all of the sudden it becomes too tight. I would suggest going and getting some fluid taken out, but try starting your days out with a hot Tea or 2.. it usually helps loosen me up.

I have a friend that is 3 years post band and was below goal. She had to have all fluid removed from her band for 3 months for the very thing you describe. They tried removing small amounts at a time but she kept having problems. The band is finicky, just when you think you have it figured it tightens up. Hope you got your unfill and are feeling better.
