  8. Hi CPGirl, my surgery was July 25 and I've lost 49. Yes it does slow down a lot. But I make sure I'm getting in my protein, vitamins and liquids because there are some days I eat well and days I just don't feel like eating. My doctor told me my body is in preservation mode but to keep getting in high protein, no/low carbs, no fruit and lots of water, the weight will keep dropping.
  9. AJ is right, don't over think it. I'm 4 months out and only experienced dumping twice and it was because I was off my game and ate something wrong. I'm back to eating right and I'm good. Its very tempting to try new things or old things that we used to eat but If you stick to eating the right things, you'll be good.
  10. I have to say that the burping is much better. I'm 4 months out and I don't burp nearly as much as I did when I originally posted this. So there is hope the relief will come.
  11. No. But I just remembered a couple of days ago I ate a piece of left over halloween candy. A mini 100 grand bar. That must be it.
  12. OMG I'm 4 months out since my surgery and within the last 2 weeks I've experienced this twice. NOT a pleasant experience. I'm not sure what I ate the first time, but this time I made homemade blackeye peas, high in protein. My body said NOT TODAY!! I was doubled over, in pain, moaning and groaning. I'm going back on soups for a couple of days. I know others have experienced this, how did you deal with it? Just ride it out and not eat what caused this reaction again?
  13. Panda333 I like that you just wanted to hear from women. We have such a different struggle than men. Well I'm 58 and had RNY surgery on 7/25/19. My start weight was 235 I'm at currently at 189.8. At first the weight came off quickly but has slowed down. I'm trying to get more calories in and I'm walking 4-5 times a week. Did my first 5k walkathon yesterday. I'm thinking about joining a zumba class so I'm getting closer everyday. I'm sending encouragement to you, Good Luck.
  14. I thank everyone for sharing this site for the medical bracelets. I've never heard of these bracelets before and think this is a great idea. The site has great choices and good information. I just ordered mine, YEAH!!!

  16. Mousecat that is so true. That's when I weigh in and that's how I weigh in. I get the most accurate weigh in at that time.
  17. Thanks. Well thank God I'm not in pain and I can keep my food and vitamins down. So I guess I'll just flow with it. I just didn't understand why this happened when I haven't changed anything with my eating schedule.
  18. That's nice. I love Auburn colored hair.
  19. I hit my 3 months on October 25th and the last 2-3 days I've been feeling super full, like I've eating a full plate of food. Yesterday, I literally made myself eat something. I can go all day and not eat anything. This wasn't happening before, I had myself on a really good eating schedule. Now it's a struggle, is this just one of those phases? Has anyone else experienced this?
  20. Thanks everyone this is helpful because I just hit my 3 months and I was freakin out. But as long as I know it will grow back I'm good.
  21. Lynda I was doing the same thing. The weight was initially coming off so good then I went up 5 pounds and almost cried. I was getting frustrated and decided to do what AJ said stop weighing myself daily. It was driving me crazy. I weigh weekly now, especially now since I'm 3 months out and on regular diet. I had my 3 month check up and everything is great but we did talk about the stahls, they told me to not worry to keep doing what I'm doing including exercising it will start dropping again. Stay encouraged!!
  22. Yes my vitamin has biotin as well but maybe I should take extra. It's really worrisome when this started happening.
