  1. I completely agree! I only ever feel hungry post sleeve if I am stressed or depressed. Well done for resisting temptation, and fingers x'd your son will be ok.
  2. Wow, well done, fantastic transformation! It is also really encouraging to see people who had doubts get to goal and beyond, I am stalling 12lb from my overall goal, and am feeling like I'll never get there. You are a true inspiration!
  3. Ok, so like many people, I have a birthmark. Mine is a mole tucked so far up my thigh I have literally only seen it when contorted, and it has never seen the sunshine. So today I am wearing some silly underwear which fasten at the crotch, and after I pee I am hopping around trying to re-fasten things, when I see myself in the mirror (dont allow them at home), and notice a new mole on my leg. I'm at an age where these things happen so wasn't thrown, until it occurred to me that it was a familliar size & shape! So I check it out, and as the lbs have shifted so has my birthmark!! What was once very hidden is now sat at the top of my leg clearly visible, even in granny knickers! A very odd, and unexpected NSV!

  5. I get extremely emotional when I think about how wonderful this surgery has been for me, I can't explain it wothout crying, and every time I hit a mini milestone I'll have a sob beside the scales! The main difference i found was an inability to deal with stress, as soon as I couldn't silence things by smothering them with food I realised I had no coping mechanism, its been getting better, although my co-workers notice my stress levels more now, so they may not think its a good change!
  6. SN.................................SW....................................CW................................Goal...............................Lbs to Goal Cludgie........................235.....................................166...............................163...................................3lb Sooooooooooooooooooooo close, 2lb to 'normal', whatever that might be!!! Eeek!
  7. Congratulations, its the best thing I ever did, hope it is for you too!
  8. SN.................................SW....................................CW................................Goal...............................Lbs to Goal Cludgie........................235.....................................167...............................163...................................4lb Today I hit the 11's - how AWESOME!!!! My mind seems to have got stuck at 14 stone something, and so now every time I weigh that is what I expect to see, when 11.13 popped up this morning I just stood and cried with joy. I LOVE MY SLEEVE!!!
  9. SN.................................SW....................................CW................................Goal...............................Lbs to Goal Cludgie........................235.....................................168...............................163...................................5lb Yep, I'm here again! After weeks, and weeks, and weeks of barely any loss, I've dropped 6 1/2lb in the last 2 weeks, please God let this continu! (I barely dare to consider it, but I may just get goal by Christmas, it is the one and only thing on my list this year!!!!)
  10. Well done on the weight loss, I'd agree with Diva, you have done BRILLIANTLY considering you were sleeved May, I have a 4 month head start on you and am still chipping away at it, with a stone still to go! We will get there though! I'd like to add one more thought (stolen from Baz Lurman's Sunscreen) "The race is long, and in the end it is only with ourselves" - So weather slow and steady wins the race, or just ultimately gets us to the finishing line, I'll gladly take it! Good luck with the final stretch.
  11. I agree that the blood thinners used post op probably have an effect on your period, although not connected to my surgery I have issues with regularity of my hormonal cycle too, and once (due to stress) experienced a period which went on at full pelt for 6 weeks until I finally got medication for it, although your is longer than you are used to, I believe it isn't unusual to occasionally have one which goes on a while, especially if you are goung through a lot of physical/emotional stress. Fingers x'd for you.
  12. Too cute! I was always so sad that havng my kids when I was bigger meant I had no discernible bump, infact when I had my eldest I was delivered at 35 weeks so had to finish work early, so I had to call a client to explain why I wouldn't be able to make our appointment, to which he responded with "oh, yes well I did wonder but I didn't want to ask, just incase you werent actually pregnant!" - I WAS ABOUT TO GIVE BIRTH, AND STILL HE WASN'T SURE IF IT WAS FAT OR NOT! You have no such worries!
  13. I watched every documentory on weight loss and weight loss surgery that I could find (sent my poor husband insane for months with them), but didn't think to look on youtube until I was post op, was not phased by it either before or after surgery. I also had my gallbladder out a few years ago, and I mad a much quicker recovery after my sleeve surgery, so if you've had that done there really is nothing to be worried about, this is certainly no worse in my opinion.
  14. Well I am probably going to get shot down for saying this, but I have a galss of pepsi max a day, however I drink it as flat as possible, and if I get a very fizzy drink I will shake it or stir it to get rid of some gas, and from the moment I could eat again I have had a drink at meal times. I find that I feel choked, and get a lot of discomfort if I don't have even just a couple of sips of liquid when I eat, I am still satisified after the equivalent of a chicken breast, so I don't think I am stretching things, or over eating, its just one change too far for me I'm afraid.
  15. SN.................................SW....................................CW................................Goal...............................Lbs to Goal Cludgie........................235.....................................170...............................163...................................6lb "And another one down, and another one down, another one bites the dust!"    This is a challenge I may actually hit! Woot woot!
  16. Really sorry to hear that, I know its hard early on, but have faith - it does get better! Fingers x'd you feel good soon. xx
  17. Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooot!!!!! My weight loss is super slow now, but finally today my BMI starts with 25! I know its 25.8 which still puts me at 6lb overweight, but my BMI has never been this low, and I have been clawing my way to the 25's, by God it feels good! :D :D :D :D :D Ps - I LOVE MY SLEEVE!!!!!
  18. Collar bones are the BEST! I think there is nothing prettier than a long neck and corking collar bones, I LOVE mine, and when I look at them I feel like audrey hepburn (if i ever look like her i will know my wls was a total success!!). I've recently felt ribs, and would love to see them sometime soon, although my weirdest find has to be a little sticky out bone in my wrist, seriously, my wrists never struck me as fat, but they are certainly much more bony now!
  19. SN.................................SW....................................CW................................Goal...............................Lbs to Goal Cludgie........................235.....................................170...............................163...................................7lb Back again already, but the scale moved, so I am happy dancing!
  20. SN.................................SW....................................CW................................Goal...............................Lbs to Goal Cludgie........................235.....................................171...............................163...................................8lb So far only minus 1lb, but have made some silly mistakes recently!!!
  21. I have stopped getting that so much, but get cold sweats and palpatations if I go too far - having said that I managed to really mess up today with no consequence By 3pm this afternoon I hadn't eaten anything in almost 24 hours (oops), and whilst dashing between meetings I got shaky, so presumed that I had low blood sugar, I dash into the closest shop which only had either raw meat, dry crackers or packs of biscuits, so I grab crackers and wafer biscuits to nibble whilst I drive. Well, two dry crackers didn't hit the spot so like a complete idiot I open the biscuits, which was SUCH a mistake, by the time I had arrived at the next meeting somehow 3/4 of the pack had gone. ARGH!!! I am 1lb away from a BMI of 25.something, and hoped I'd hit that tomorrow, guess thats gone out the window again!
  22. Sadly not, but a LOT of it comes down to genetics and skin type I am afraid - I have celtic ancestory, and a very typically irish skin type so both scar, and gather stretch marks very easily It sucks, but I figure that it's more fun hiding them under small clothes than hiding them under big ones, and on sunny days if people don't want to see my saggy bits, they can look the other way! Cx
  23. Cant update properly as my broadband died, and I am trying to connect via my phone, however massive gain last week, crappy week this week, just weighed to find the gain gone plus 1lb - suddenly things look and feel better!
