Frustrated & a little anxious
I too have been hanging at the same weight, but you have to know that if you keep eating the correct food and portions along with exercising ...IT WILL COME OFF! It is hard to be patient, but give it some time. I really agree with the comment about more Protein. It really helps with the hunger for me. Also, try and get excited about exercise, it makes a world of difference. good luck!

This is crazy!
It has been such an emotional help for me to read posts like these. I went from 256 to 232 in my two week pre op and two week post op.. I have now been stuck for 2.5 weeks. I am exercising, drinking my water and eating really well. I am going to up my calories as I have been hanging at 850-950. I know that it will come off and I plan on just staying the course. Again, it is just so nice to hear other stories on here to encourage me to keep it up! Good Luck to everyone!!

Sex? Wine?

I work in an office and don't have to do any heavy lifting. I had my surgery on a Thursday and went back to work on Monday. I felt good, but got tired by around 4-5pm and went home a little early a couple of days. Good Luck!!

Angry, Frustrated, Hungry
I am on Day 8 of post op full liquid diet ... I enjoy tomato Soup, cream of mushroom and like you am very tired of broth, yogurt and Jello.. It will be over soon enough. My Dr. has me on two weeks of liquids post op. Are you drinking the Protein drinks? I feel that this is what helps me the most to stay relatively full and still have energy. Just a thought! Good Luck!

Mine was 600, and as someone mentioned it is for the aftercare. Able to speak to the nutritionist and what not... I am going to be calling them all the time asking them to give me therapy on all aspects of my life!

Keeping Lap Band a Secret
I have told all of the important people in my life, but I do believe it is a personal choice. I needed the support and I knew I would get it from the friends and family that I told. There are few that i haven't brought it up to and it is because I feel they would be judgmental. My kids, 15 and 10, are my biggest supporters and I don't know what I would do without them. Again, everyone needs to do what makes them comfortable. Good Luck and if nothing else, you know you have us to support you!

liquid died help :(
It gets better.. I am on my 5th day. My doctor allows, yogurt, ff Jello, ff pudding, broth and creamy Soups, ie: tomato or butternut squash, cream of mushroom. I try and mentally get through it by thinking how short two weeks really is.. I think about how time flies and keep myself busy with my job, the kids and house work (house is really clean right now). I thinking that this is a good time to get exercise in because it keeps my mind off of food. Also, i have already seen the scale go down and that always encourages me to keep going. I have had a couple of headaches and I attribute that to not enough water! Anyways, good luck and i hope that helps...even just a little bit!

Day before lap band surgery?
I too have to drink the magnesium citrate... I heard it is very important to stay near the potty!!! My Dr. say drink 5oz at noon with an 8oz glass of water and then to drink the other 5oz followed by another glass of water at 3pm.

August 4th
Hi Trish!!! I have been doing pretty good. I have had trouble with eating all of the Soup or pudding! I don't ever want to eat pudding again! I am not super hungry, I bought the iso pure Protein drinks and i really like them... the grape and fruit punch are yummy! I am getting so excited.. as hard as the prep op diet may be right now, we have to push through the 2 weeks post op and then we can start our new lives! I really want to touch base with you after surgery to see how you are doing!! Post on this thread after, ok? Laurie
